[Hero Wars Guide]Elemental Catalyst

Item Guide

  • Used to unlock or upgrade standard Elemental Skills.
  • Obtainable from events or by converting Totem Fragments or Totem Spheres.
  • If you already own 30 Totems, Totem Fragments from the Altar of the Elements can be converted into Catalysts via your inventory.

About the Altar of the Elements

  • You can now collect more than 30 Totem Fragments from the Altar.
  • Catalysts are not obtained directly — you must first collect Fragments and then convert them.
  • There is a hard cap of 100 Totems obtainable from the Altar.

Obtaining from Events

  • Sometimes available as quest rewards.
  • First appeared in the Tournament of Titan Power.
  • Not a reliable source compared to other methods.

Obtaining from Totems

  • Convert them directly in your inventory.
  • Each Totem provides 350 Elemental Catalysts, but the Totem disappears in the process.
  • 350 Catalysts usually aren’t enough for reliable reinforcement, so strengthening Totems is generally the higher priority.
  • If all usable Totems are already 6★, unlocking or upgrading skills becomes a valid option.

Obtaining from Totem Fragments

  • Can be converted directly or via Totems.
  • Both yield 350 Catalysts, and the Summoning Sphere disappears in the process.
  • All Sphere types work the same way — attribute choice doesn’t matter when converting.

Direct Conversion (Sphere → Catalysts)

  • Press “Transform” in your inventory.
  • Yields 350 Catalysts instantly without summoning a Totem.
  • Bad Luck Protection progression (safety net)  does not activate.
  • Does not count toward the Altar’s 100 Totem cap.
  • No confirmation screen — proceed carefully.

Totem Conversion (Sphere → Totem → Catalysts)

  • Press “Use” in your inventory.
  • Summons a Totem, which can then be converted into 350 Catalysts.
  • Bad Luck Protection progression (safety net) does activate.
  • Counts toward the Altar’s 100 Totem cap.
  • For attribute-selectable spheres, your choice doesn’t matter if you plan to convert them.

Which is Better?

  • Both methods have pros and cons.
  • The right choice depends on the status of your guaranteed Totems at the Altar.
  • If unsure, Use is the safer default.
