Combat Guide
- In the 2025–2026 Hero Wars meta, defeating Lyria is one of the most important challenges.
- In Clash of Worlds (CoW), it’s not uncommon to face up to 30 Lyria defenses. Many players aim to defeat Lyria three times within a single match.
- In this guide, I’ll share practical examples of how to break through three separate Lyria defenses.

Lyria Counter Teams
Below are the counter teams I use most frequently.
Galahad Formation
- Teams built around Galahad can sometimes defeat Lyria with only minor lineup adjustments.
- While this formation can be used defensively, it often performs better on offense when Lyria herself is excluded.
- Variants that include Kayla are especially effective against backline-heavy teams featuring heroes such as Lara Croft or Sebastian.
Krista Formation
- The Krista formation is currently the strongest offensive team in the 2026 meta.
- With Krista and Cascade as fixed core members, adding heroes that provide Magic Penetration buffs allows this team to defeat most opponents.
- Although Isaac is a natural counter to Krista and Cascade, he is rarely used on defense because he performs poorly against physical teams.
- In addition, Krista handles Ishmael well, while Cascade counters Rufus. This gives the team excellent versatility across a wide range of matchups.
Alvanor Tank
- One of the current defensive trends is pairing Lyria with Ishmael. While this setup does not have a high defensive success rate, even small mistakes by the attacker can result in devastating counterattacks.
- The most reliable way to stabilize these matchups is the Alvanor Tank.
- By locking in Alvanor, Amira, and Aidan, then filling the remaining two slots with Heidi or Folio, you can counter most Ishmael-based compositions.
- While this is not a top-priority team to build, it performs well even at relatively low power and serves as an excellent offensive option in the current meta.
