- Special event rules will be announced during the Winterfest period.
- From December 21, 2025, at 2:00 a.m. UTC to January 1, 2026, at 2:00 a.m. UTC, both guild transfers and server transfers will be restricted for all players.
Server Lock (Winterfest Transfer Restrictions)
- Server transfers will be disabled from the start of Winterfest until all rewards have been distributed.
- This restriction applies to both paid and free transfers.
- If you plan to move servers, you must do so before the lock period begins.
Why the Server Lock Is Implemented
- Winterfest rankings are tracked separately on each server. If you transfer servers during the event, your ranking data will be lost.
- There is a delay between ranking finalization and reward distribution.
- If you transfer servers during this delay, you will not receive any ranking rewards, including Totems.
The server lock prevents this issue.
Important Notes About Server Lock
- Some players who engage in arena trolling or harassment try to transfer servers to reset their ID.
- While they are responsible for their actions, this behavior may result in being blacklisted by multiple guilds.
- During the lock period, players cannot change their ID or escape consequences even if such behavior occurs.

- Leaving a guild will be restricted from the start of the event until Winterfest rewards are fully distributed.
- This includes voluntary leaving, automatic removal, and bans.
- If you intend to switch guilds, you must do so before the lock begins.
Why the Guild Lock Is Implemented
- During Winterfest, players can send gifts to guildmates using special items distributed for free. These items are worth roughly 10,000 Emeralds per person.
- In recent years, some players have created tens of thousands of sub-accounts and used automation tools to funnel gifts to their main accounts.
This exploit is estimated to have generated over 100 million Emeralds in resources. - The guild lock prevents this kind of abuse.
Issues Caused by the Guild Lock
- Guilds with fewer than 30 members cannot take action against trolling during the lock period.
They must endure harassment in guild chat or deliberate sabotage in CoW (such as intentionally feeding Ishmael’s gauge). - The official Q&A recommends filling empty guild slots, even if recruitment standards must be lowered.
- Guilds with 30 members should prepare for possible departures right before the lock begins.
Official Message: Winterfest Temporary Restrictions!
Guardians, Winterfest is just around the corner. This is the time of year when guilds come together in a big way to share gifts and participate in the holiday spirit throughout the Dominion. To ensure that every Guardian is able to experience this wonderful tradition fairly and evenly, we will have some temporary restrictions in place during the Winterfest event.
Server Transfers
- Server transfers will not be allowed during Winterfest.
- This helps to ensure that there is no unexpected movement during this time and that Winterfest is fair and open to all players.
Guild Movements
- The Guild Movements is an initiative put in place in order to keep guilds stable during Winterfest and to ensure that gifting remains within the guild groups, by temporarily suspending the ability to leave a guild, kick members from a guild, automatically kick players from guilds because they haven’t played any games recently, or disband a guild.
- It will still be possible to join a guild during this time. This is particularly useful for Guardians who have not been able to find a guild to join and would like to be a part of the Winterfest celebration.
- By implementing these changes, we hope to ensure that all guilds will remain steady and active throughout the entire Winterfest event and that there will be no last-minute re-arrangements of guilds or sudden departures during the gift-giving period.
Applicable Period
- These restrictions are temporary and will take effect on December 21, 2 AM UTC through January 1, 2026 at 2 AM UTC. After the event ends, we will finalize the ranking for Winterfest and distribute the rewards.
- Once all rewards have been sent out, all temporary restrictions will be removed.
- Please ensure you perform any necessary guild and server transfers before December 21 in order to enjoy Winterfest with your guilds.
