Event Store Overview

[Hero Wars Guide] Spooky Festival Marchant
  • This shop opens annually during the Spooky Festival.
  • You can use Spooky Festival Coins, awarded as the grand prize from Ghost Energy, to make purchases.
  • Each coin is equivalent to 5,000 Emeralds.
  • Year-round access to the store will be discontinued after the 2025 event.
  • Exchange rates vary — some items offer much better value than others. Keep this in mind, as your growth speed can be up to 1.5× faster depending on how cost-effectively you manage your resources.

  • Q. CMs You mentioned in the news, that the shop for the spooky coins will be updated.
    Can you give us the change log for that? I would like to know, what items are replaced, so that I can decide if I wanna use my coins before the changes or afterwards.
  • A. Hey, let’s give it a try.
    – Insatiable Wing Aegis and Helm of Clear Thoughts will be removed from the Shop, all other Hero Items stay in the Shop and have the same price. Current Ascension resources in Spooky Fest shop are going to be removed and replaced with
    – 240 Wish Crystals for 1 Coin
    – 160 Wish Insignias for 1 Coin
    On other items:
    – 3500 Skin Stones for 1 Coin replaced with 24 Large Skin Stone Chests for 1 coin (so a bit better value)
    – No items for Chilling Stories – that’s just not a thing this year
    – A few new Demonic Skins (Folio, Augustus and Fafnir) for 10 Coins. Oh, and BUNCH of old Demonic Skins, but I would not recommend bying those – they are pretty overpriced in the Shop right now, I am not sure if that’s intended, but unlocking the old Skins with Skin Stones will be way more efficient for now
    – Chaos Particles, Flawless Pet Stones, Pet Summoning Eggs, Absolute Artifact Chests, Spooky Festival Dolls and Hero Soul Stone Chest all stays in the Shop and will have the same price as they have right now
    – I might have missed something, even though I don’t think so. I am know extremely anxious that some prices are going to be changed for any reason at the last moment, and I will be publicly destroyed here as the vile deceiver and incompetent fool, but that’s life, I guess.

Event Store: New Skins

Three new Demonic Skins have been introduced for this year’s event:

Demonic Folio Skin

  • Boosts Magic Attack.
  • Since all of Folio’s skills scale with Magic Attack, this skin provides a significant power boost and is one of the most straightforward upgrades.

Demonic Augustus Skin

  • Boosts Health.
  • Augustus becomes unstable if defeated before activating his skills, making this skin highly desirable for improving survivability.
  • However, it slightly reduces gauge gain from taking damage. Because Augustus performs best in fast-paced brawls, this skin may weaken him in certain setups.
    Not an outright recommendation — obtain it, but only upgrade if low Health becomes a recurring issue.

Demonic Fafnir Skin

  • Boosts Magic Defense.
  • In Hero Wars, magic countermeasures are usually handled through skills rather than raw Magic Defense, making this stat generally less impactful than Armor.
  • Still, it can be effective in specific team compositions, such as Lilith tank setups that include Thea for Magic Defense buffs.
    A situational skin, but potentially valuable for specialized builds.

Event Store Recommendations

  • The three new Demon Skins will not return for a while if missed here. While none are absolute must-haves, each offers solid utility.
  • Cornelius’s skin is also a limited item. Its current value mainly lies in adjusting Isaac’s optimal Artifact level, making it less essential overall.
    Unlike the new skins, it has already been limited for a year and may return sooner in a future event.
  • Red Artifacts have a poor exchange rate, but they are rare and needed in large quantities.
  • Consider purchasing them if there’s nothing else you particularly need.
