Event Guide

• A new totem has appeared on Mystery Island in April 2025.
• Let’s take a closer look at what it means and how to make the most of it.

Requirements and Rewards

• To reach the totem, you’ll need 150,000 Emeralds and at least 36 Exploration Moves.
• The reward is a totem with a selectable 3 elements. (Although the official description originally stated that it would be random, the actual reward allows you to choose the 3 element.)
• Please note that Light and Dark elements are not available as selectable options for this reward.

Explorer’s Moves

• It takes 36 Moves to reach the totem.
• No Moves are required to open the totem once you arrive.
• Note that there are no move refills or free tiles along the way – each step requires a move.

Detours

• There are a few optional detours on the way to the totem where you can efficiently open additional towers.
• If you plan to take these detours, be sure to bring extra Explorer’s Moves.
• To efficiently explore each opportunity, it’s best to have up to 53 Moves prepared.

Using the Event

• If you obtain the Totem during the Piggy Bank event, you’ll receive a 30,000 Emerald kickback.
• Important: This is a rebate, not a discount. You will still need to pay the full 150,000 Emeralds up front. If you only have 120,000, you won’t be able to get the totem.
• Rewards from other events, such as Emerald Waterfalls, also contribute to the progress of Emerald Falls. This synergy is especially useful when multiple events overlap, such as the Lyria event.

Time Limits and Cost-Effectiveness

• The April 2025 Mystery Island event runs for one month only.
• There’s no guarantee that future Mystery Island events will offer a similar totem setup.
• Overall, the offer is decent, but not overwhelmingly great. Due to the high number of moves required and the unpredictable value of the random tile rewards, it may not be as profitable as it first appears.

Rough calculation

• If we estimate the value of each explorer’s move at 2,200 emeralds and the value of each random tile at 887 emeralds, then
  * 36 moves cost 2,200 × 36 = 79,200 emeralds
  * Expected tile reward = 887 × 36 = 31,932 emeralds
• Adding the totem (worth 200,000 emeralds) brings the total reward value to:
  * 31,932 (tiles) + 200,000 (totem) = 231,932 Emeralds
  * Total cost = 150,000 (emeralds) + 79,200 (moves) = 229,200 emeralds
  * Net profit = 231,932 – 229,200 = 2,732 emeralds
• If you include the 30,000 Emerald Piggy Bank kickback:
  * Adjusted reward value = 261,932
  * Net profit = 261,932 – 229,200 = 32,732 Emeralds
• Bottom line: To truly maximize value, you’ll need to combine the Totem opportunity with the Piggy Bank bonus, Emerald Waterfalls synergy, and possibly detour spots.
• Keep in mind that tile rewards are random, so your actual outcome may vary, and for some players, the results may make these calculations feel more like theorizing than guaranteed value.
