Titan’s Level cap Increase Release Announced  

  • The maximum level for Titans, Titan Artifacts, and Totems has been increased to 130.
  • Additionally, with the strengthening of heroes, each hero can add +1 level, allowing Titans to reach 193 at this time.
  • While detailed specifications have not yet been revealed, the announcement has already sparked a wave of furious backlash!

Protests against the Titan’s cap Increase

1. Number of Attacks in Cosmic Battles

  • Q. Can you increase the Cosmic Battle refill limit to at least 8 (ideally 10)?

    The current limit of 5 isn’t enough if you want to have a healthy amount of uninterrupted sleep.
  • A. Hi! I’ve passed your suggestion along to the developers. They will consider the possibility of making this change.

2. Prioritize QoL Improvements Over AoC

  • Q. Please don’t waste anymore developer’s time and money on AoC. Never in history of HW did I see a new feature get so much negative feedback as AoC (I’ve been playing for many years now).
    Instead invest this time, effort and money in the long-needed QoL updates that we’ve been asking you for in the starboard for the past couple of months. Thanks!
  • A. It’s not always easy to make a tasty apple sauce on the first try. Sometimes it’s the wrong variety of apples, other times the juice press isn’t set up quite right. But after a bit of time, the product will be balanced and enjoyable.

3. No Explanation for AoC Matching Algorithm

  • Q. about the upgraded AoC: when you change game mechanics would you please consider giving us, your customers, official release notes describing the changes? Every software company does this, just you do not. Thank you very much.
  • A. As for AoC, I’ll reply in one message to avoid repeating myself.

    Let’s start with the fact that every company approaches the level of detail they share in updates differently. This can be influenced by many factors, from commercial confidentiality to a conscious choice not to spoil certain aspects of the content.
    We try to cover each major update in detail. Sometimes more, sometimes less. You may have seen videos of new hero abilities and announcements of various changes in mechanics. In this regard, we are quite open.

    As for the modified matchmaking mechanics in AoC, we purposely do not reveal all the underlying mechanics to prevent some players from manipulating them to gain an advantage.

    During the first launches of AoC, matchmaking was based solely on the total power of the guilds. As both you and we saw, this led to unfair matchups and frustrating battles.

    For this launch, the matchmaking system has been significantly reworked, and it now relies on a whole list of internal metrics that contribute to the rating. I understand that significantly different power levels can be frustrating and demotivating, but you shouldn’t rely solely on them. We are already receiving statistics that the matchups have become fairer. So, I’d like to highlight two points:
      1.  Thank you for your comments and feedback. Please don’t focus too much on the Power values you see in matches. These numbers do not reflect the full picture.
      2.  Try playing and focus on the gameplay. Then, at the end of the event, share your impressions with us. This is very important, as based on your feedback and the internal data we receive from matchups, we will balance the matchmaking to make it as fair as possible

4. Request to Make Secrete Wealth Permanent

  • Q. it is really good to see secrete wealth is extending to 2-days. Please consider making it stay there everyday like a regular shop.
  • A. I’ll certainly pass along this feedback, but something tells me that, for now, the developers don’t intend to make this shop permanent. After all, it is called “Secret” Wealth.

5. Guild War Reminders

  • Q. Please give us a reminder quest for champions doing their 2 GW attacks
    Every day 1 of our 20 champions thinks they did their 2 attacks but didnt. So can we please have a daily reminder quest (with a timer running) for champions doing their 2 GW attacks? Doesnt need any rewards or maybe 1 guild love Friendship chip. Or you could relate the GW champion reward to the quest instead of rewarding even champions who did not attack at all.
    With the current UI/UX and things to do being spread out through many different pages and dialogues its really hard for us to keep track of all of our daily repetitive tasks.
    And as a GM reminding people in guild chat, personal messages and contacting them by discord or SMS is also getting on MY nerves.
  • A. Yes, that would be a convenient QoL improvement. Let’s hope the developers will consider implementing it.

6. Add a Training Button for Guild Wars

  • Q. Bravo nexters for the expedition updates.
    When is the next milestone and the addition of a “combat training” button in “guild wars” like in “CoW” ????
  • A. Thank you; the developers will be glad to hear that.

7. Could It Be a False Positive for Cheat Detection?

  • Q. Can we do something about these false flags I’ve been receiving any time I log into my HW account on my phone?
    ⁠Didn’t take a screenshot, but I got a warning message on my lunch break when using my phone.
    ⁠Today’s lunch break: I got suspended by using my phone on my lunch break.

    I 100% support anticheat measures, but as far as I am aware, there is no way to cheat on a mobile browser. I do run a VPN in the background when I am not at home, for safety reasons. Perhaps that could’ve flagged it. But I do find it strange that my warning and suspension ONLY happened when I logged in on my mobile device. (Samsung S20 FE) with Android 13 + One UI 5.1. Using Google chrome browser.
    Edit: Overnight I was thinking it might be because of old cookies/cache, as I don’t frequently clean them on my phone, but now I don’t even want to risk loading HW up on my phone anymore…

    I guess I can no longer use my phone to play this game anymore, and that honestly just sucks.

    Plus the fact you can’t even appeal this, despite this definitely being incorrect is really frustrating.

    I am aware of the cheating problem this game has, and often have flagged it with the CMs. I still have guildmates that use the OSH cheat where when you watch it, they die in 20 seconds, but somehow get a score of 300m+. Yet they aren’t affected.
  • A. A few weeks ago, the developers launched a system to detect the use of malicious scripts and other third-party extensions. For a while, it operated in “silent” mode, gathering data. Then the first warnings were issued, followed by the first bans. The system is already showing effective results. However, there is a very small chance of false detections. In such cases, please contact customer support, and our specialists will recheck your game profile. If no violations are found during the manual review, you will, of course, be unbanned. Additionally, the information gathered will help prevent false detections for other players in the future.

8. Not Refunding a double purchase

  • Q. I bought AoC ticket on the wrong server, then rebought on the right server assuming I could get a refund for the first purchase because I didn’t use any materials I got, fight any battles, collect any quests, nothing was random, etc, etc, and everything I got is STILL 100% in the account and ready to take back.

    The only big takeaway from the details though is I learned that
    you can’t expect Nexters to be reasonable with refunds.  Not reasonable with regard to players. Not even
    helping for Nexters making money!

    My specifics aside, even a CHANGE IN VIP STATUS is also an EXPLICIT reason to deny a refund.

    So, if you’re not close to VIP 15 and accidently spend $225 by misclick, your cat clicking, a bug that they won’t acknowledge, whatever, it’ll probably increase VIP.   VIP INCREASE => NO RETURNS => NO DISCUSSION.

    BTW, Nexters is making changes if you didn’t notice…  So we can’t assume they’ll stop at $225!   Maybe $2250 is next.   _Or $20,000 or whatever!_   (Or what if your cat clicks dozens of $225 charges?)

    NOTE:  **I never said and they never asked WHY the ticket was processed on the wrong server** before “no further discussion”!

    My bank wanted to stop the extra pay as duplicate.  But if I let them, Nexters makes it clear they hold the account hostage and lock me out.

    CMs  – Hypothetically, would they lock all servers on one’s account, or just the stopped one?

    ### Every hour and ever dollar you put into this game means a bigger investment they can hold hostage over a bad charge, even if you don’t play with what they sold you.

    BTW, holding my $25 means I won’t buy the $45 Cosmic Season I would have bought.  So being unreasonable is costing them money, not making it!

  • A. I’m sorry that you had to deal with this and that you were dissatisfied with the support’s decision. However, our support policy is as it is and cannot be changed. I can only advise you to be extremely careful when making in-game purchases and double-check which account you are making the payment from.

9. Titan’s update is not a reset

  • Hey everyone. So, let’s make it clear from the start: I don’t have any specific answers for you right now, so I guess the main goal of this post is gathering all your poop, vomit and clown emojis.

    I was not sure if I should respond here today as I don’t have big updates, and that’s the only thing you are interested in at the moment. But it felt like I need to at the very least acknowledge all your comments: we do see and relay all of them further, I don’t think you were doubting that, but now you know for sure.

    There are different types of comments flying on the server today, and right now  I want to highlight the ones that include specific questions. Like “But how many Titan Potions you would need to get to Level 130/160/193?”, “How will the stat increase formula work?”, “Will the Silver League players have any ways to progress their Totems?”, etc

    Those questions we also see and appreciate, they are very important, and we are going to answer them next week (hopefully as soon as Monday or Tuesday) to give you better understanding of the specifics. So, that was the main idea for now: just wanted to make sure that you know we see your comments, and also that you know when to expect the next bit of information

    Also, just a very quick side-note: I see some misunderstanding and confusion regarding what type of progression mechanics are meant to be covered by this update, and even before we have news and specific answers, I wanted to clarify that in order to lessen the confusion:

    This update does not have anything to do with Totem and Titan Evolution, Titan Skin levels, it does not “reset” your current progression in terms of Titan/Totem/Artifact levels (yes, some players were not sure about that)
