Teams active in the Area of Conquest
Which teams performed well in the first AoC event of 2025? Below are five notable teams and one bonus option that stood out:
1. Dante Tank & Augustus
- One of the most popular strategies at the moment, with several variations available. The basic forms consist of Dante, Orion, and Augustus plus two additional heroes.
- Many teams struggle to win, even against opponents who use magic countermeasures.
- They have maintained a high win rate against last year’s popular Qing Mao Tanks. However, there are countermeasures, so overconfidence is unwise.
2. Orion Counter
- A versatile counter to Orion & Augustus teams. Like the previous team, it also has a high win rate against last year’s Qing Mao Tank.
- Due to its low endurance, it relies heavily on HP potions during consecutive battles.
- The team pets are often chosen to be Axel and Khorus. In actual combat, Khorus often has a slightly higher win rate when fully trained. Conversely, Axel provides consistent performance regardless of who is using it.
3. Rufus, Julius, Heidi
- A counter team that is effective against both Dante and Isaac and has a relatively high win rate against the aforementioned Dante tank and Augustus counter teams. It is also well prepared to counter Heidi.
- However, it struggles considerably against the Qing Mao tank.
- With Rufus on board, the team becomes largely resistant to magic teams. This resistance is a double-edged sword: it defends the base well, but in some matchups, it can simply serve as a Health potion for opposing magic teams.
4. Ishmael Tank
- This team has a strong quirk: once it secures a victory, it shows its true potential.
- Beginning with the second battle, Ishmael will transform at the beginning of the battle. This can even pave the way for consecutive victories! When used skillfully, the ability to continue fighting without relying on Health potions becomes a significant advantage.
- A well-executed first win can pave the way for success against many other teams. There’s the concern of having a suitable opponent for an effective transformation, and then there’s the fact that using a potion resets the gauge.
5. Qing Mao Tank
- In this AoC, a composition that is considered a counter dominates the competition. However, by including Isaac, this team creates a more balanced scenario.
- In team play, it is recommended to use Nebula instead of Isaac. This allows for a combo play that eliminates Heidi, who is typically used to counter the Dante tank.
- Although Axel is normally used as a team pet, in DASHIMAKI-TAMAGO, using Vex has significantly increased the win rate. In addition, the win rate varies greatly depending on how you rotate the pets that support Lala.
Bonus: Magic Counter
- This team specializes in countering magic teams.
- Compared to the five teams above, it is more difficult to use effectively.
- With the exception of Aidan, it can be adapted from a template designed specifically for Osh, which is advantageous because many players can create it with relative ease.
