How to Reach 1 Billion Damage as a Free-to-Play Player Guide

This guide explains how to reach 1 billion damage using the Talisman of Wealth. With good luck, there has even been a reported run that achieved 3.3 billion damage with 892 Stall Coins.

1. Upgrade the Amulet of Battle to Level 15

As a preparation step, make sure to upgrade your Amulet of Battle to Level 15 before starting the run.

2. Start Chapter 3

Once your preparation is complete, select and launch Chapter 3.

3. Purchase Only One Pair of Discounted Heroes

Purchase only one pair of Heroes offered at a 50% discount in the shop.

Note: Steps 4 and 5 can be performed in either order.

4. Select the Talisman of Wealth (Restart if Necessary)

Choose the Talisman of Wealth. If it does not appear in your options, restart the stage.

5. Intentionally Lose Twice During the Run

Intentionally lose two battles along the way as part of the setup strategy. In theory, Battle 7 yields the highest number of Coins.

6. Accumulate 1,200+ Stall Coins Before the Archdemon

If executed correctly up to this point, you should have accumulated at least 1,200 Stall Coins just before reaching the Archdemon.

7. Buy All Discounted Pets and Collect Required Heroes

Purchase every Pet offered at a 50% discount while collecting the following specific Heroes:

Guus (Red)
Isaac (Orange)
Nebula (Orange)
Galahad (Violet)
Lyria (Violet)

Note: Buying every 50% discounted Pet is intended to narrow the available selection and reduce the number of shop refreshes required, thereby saving Stall Coins.

8. Sell All Pets Except the Required Five (Two)

Sell every Pet in your inventory except for the five specific Pets required for your final setup. Oliver, Fenris and Cain are optional and have very little impact if omitted.

9. Build Your Final Team

Build your final team. Around 861 Stall Coins is enough to reach 1 billion damage, while one reported run achieved 3.3 billion damage with 892 Stall Coins.

10. Challenge the Archdemon

Battle the Archdemon and check your total damage.

Test Conditions: The results shown here were obtained using Buff Level 150 on Stage 3.
Optimal Buff Level: If the Buff level becomes too high, skill timings become misaligned and the team’s skill rotation breaks down. As a result, adding more Buffs does not necessarily lead to a higher score. Much like optimizing Isaac against Osh, finding the optimal Buff level is key.
Changing Conditions: If battle conditions or boss mechanics change, the optimal Buff level may also change.

Stage 5 Damage (4.4B): Even at Buff Level 150, it is possible to deal 4.4 billion damage on Stage 5. However, clearing Stage 5 requires exceptionally favorable RNG.
Maximum Recorded Damage (9.0B+): At Buff Level 250, this team has been reported to deal over 9.0 billion damage.

What Is the Talisman of Wealth?

Type: One of the Talismans available in Adventure-style events.
Interest Mechanic: Grants interest based on your current Stall Coins each time you enter the Development Shop.
Damage Bonus: Increases Physical Attack and Magic Attack by 0.3% of your total Stall Coins. The displayed bonus is rounded down.

Tips for Using the Talisman of Wealth

Team Size: Keep your roster as small as possible to maximize the interest earned.
Extra Shop Visits: By intentionally losing twice, you can visit the Development Shop two additional times and earn interest on each visit. Battle 7 provides the highest total interest gain.
Minimal Hero Upgrades: Keep Hero upgrades to a minimum. Durable Heroes such as Galahad and Lyria only need to be upgraded to Violet.
Pet Selection: Recruit only the Pets required for your final team.
Discount Pet Purchases: Before the Archdemon battle, purchase every Pet offered at a 50% discount once. This reduces the number of shop refreshes needed to find specific Pets.
