Titan Guide
- Nova is one of the Water Titans and the first female Titan in a world dominated by male Titans.
- Although classified as a shooter, Nova’s true strength lies in her control abilities rather than raw damage. Her skill creates a ranged stun that typically targets two backline units.
- If Nova’s skill is activated while enemies are moving, the number of targets may decrease. This can cause discrepancies between combat training results and actual combat, especially if differences in Health or timing cause her skill to misfire. In such cases, manually adjusting the timing of your skill activation may improve results. However, since it’s not possible to practice before actual combat, this strategy requires considerable player skill. In addition, large power disparities may render the strategy ineffective regardless of timing.
- By clustering opponents with Dark Totems, it’s possible to increase the number of targets affected by her stun.
- Nova’s Stun can interrupt an opposing Titan’s attack or skill activation, effectively nullifying their action.
- In ToE: Fire Lord, clustering techniques were used effectively to maximize Nova’s potential.
- There’s a unique strategy where Nova is the last Titan standing and relies on her repeated stuns to clear content. This showcases her giant-killing potential, as she can perform exceptionally well when a favorable pattern is achieved.
- The Nova Tank formation combines Nova’s repetitive stuns with the healing of the Water Totems. However, Nova isn’t very durable, and the effectiveness of this strategy is limited to scenarios where her stuns and totems work seamlessly.
- Nova’s impressive stun capabilities have made her a valuable part of hybrid formations. A popular strategy is to use 2 Light Titans and 2 Dark Titans alongside Nova. In this setup, the Water Totem won’t activate, but the formation will remain effective as long as both Light and Dark Totems are present.
- Nova and Mairi have overlapping roles. When deciding which to prioritize, it’s generally recommended to level Nova first. Formations that combine three Water Titans with Dark and Light Titans will often exclude Sigurd or Mairi to make room for Nova.
- Water Super Titan: Hyperion, are generally weaker than Super Titans of other elements. However, their normal Titan skills are easier to use, and Nova is a prime example of this accessibility.
Manual Operation
- The timing of actions in Titan battles is generally easier to manage than in Hero battles. Manual control of Nova is especially important in Titan battles, as it can potentially negate the skills of Araji and Eden. Even for players who are not particularly proactive about manual control, mastering Nova’s timing can be the difference between victory and defeat.
- It has long been said that knowledge-based skills are more important in Hero Battles, while operational skills play a larger role in Titan Battles. A key example of this is mastering the activation of Nova skills.
- Nova is essential to Guild dungeon strategy. As you get deeper into a dungeon, complex rooms often require restoring with water totems. At this stage, it’s important to prevent significant damage from the skill activations of opposing Titans such as Eden and Silver. A common strategy is to manually time Nova’s skill to effectively nullify Eden’s and Silver’s activations for better control and survivability.
