Hero Analysis

This analysis is based on the preview information available at the time of implementation. Please note that actual performance may change after release.

  • Scheduled for release in 2026, Fluffy is a sheep harboring a demon within—a magic hero themed around life and death, sacrifice, and demonic power.
  • He is a magic-based support hero with an unusually complex kit that includes magic defense buffs, normal attack nullification and reflection, resurrection, attack buffs, automatic damage on death, ultimate skill suppression, and self-inflicted damage.
  • Fluffy is designed specifically to counter fast-paced battle environments and performs best in prolonged, control-oriented fights. He is clearly intended as a specialist rather than a general-purpose hero.

Strengths and Team Composition Theory

  • First Skill (Normal Attack Counter): This skill nullifies and reflects normal attacks for 12 seconds. Similar to Alvanor, Fluffy functions as a hard counter to teams relying on basic attacks. He is expected to be particularly effective against heroes such as Ishmael, Keira, Kayla, Lara Croft, Yasmine, and Cascade.
  • Self-Damage Synergy: Several skills include self-inflicted damage, which may indirectly allow allies to gain energy by taking damage. This may also trigger effects that activate when allies take damage, such as Cleaver’s skills.
  • Artifact & Magic Defense: Fluffy’s first artifact grants magic defense. Combined with the first skill’s ability to counter Cascade, Fluffy can perform well against teams like Krista–Cascade that lack sufficient magic penetration.
  • Second Skill (Resurrection): This skill resurrects allies who die during its active window. Note that this occurs after a fixed delay rather than preventing death. During that downtime, fallen allies cannot use skills or generate energy, so managing the flow of battle is critical.
    • The resurrection effect does not scale with Strength, so it cannot be nullified by Amira.
    • Resurrected allies receive buffs to both physical and magic attack. Since this is an attack buff (not damage amplification), it also enhances healing and pure damage.
  • Third Skill (On-Death Damage): This deals damage when Fluffy dies. Placing Fluffy in the front line increases the likelihood of triggering this. If Fluffy dies while the second skill is active, he may resurrect, potentially allowing for multiple activations in a single battle.
    • The activation timing depends heavily on the battle flow. While adjusting Fluffy’s Health during development offers some control, his damage scales with Health, creating a trade-off. Given his support role, prioritizing timing consistency over raw damage may be better.
  • Fourth Skill (Ultimate Suppression): This suppresses enemy ultimate skills. Although activations are limited, it is expected to be highly effective against heroes whose ultimates are decisive, such as Sebastian, Ishmael, and Keira.
    • It remains unclear whether nullifying an ultimate also prevents the first artifact from activating (normal skill cancellation typically does not).
    • If this skill suppresses Sebastian’s first skill, Fluffy becomes a hard counter to him. Combined with Jorgen, it would become extremely difficult for the enemy to maintain energy control.
  • Tactical Diversity: Fluffy excels in long-duration battles and synergizes with control-heavy compositions. While most designs focus on survival, Fluffy is built around the strategic timing of death, significantly expanding tactical options.

Weaknesses

  • Stat Dependency: The reflection damage from the first skill may reference Fluffy’s own penetration stats, which could result in negligible damage output.
  • Composition Conflicts: Self-damage from the first skill may interfere with Heidi’s camouflage mechanics.
  • Resurrection Vulnerabilities: The resurrection timing is fixed; if enemies disrupt the timing of incoming damage, the skill may fail to trigger.
    • While immune to Amira, the resurrection can be countered by Morrigan or Cascade. Furthermore, allies resurrected with low Health may be immediately punished by Celeste.
    • The attack buff only applies to resurrected heroes, not the whole team. Due to strict conditions, consistent use is difficult.
  • High Risk: The resurrection mechanic creates a high dependency; if countered, the team may collapse rapidly. Similarly, triggering the third skill intentionally is difficult to coordinate and often unreliable.
  • Lack of Synergy: Despite dealing magic damage, Fluffy lacks strong magic penetration and is unlikely to synergize well with Merlin as a patron.
  • Conditional Impact: The second and third skills rely on death-based triggers and complex conditions. If these aren’t met, Fluffy’s contribution may be minimal.
  • Skill Limitations: The fourth skill activates only once every 20 seconds and cannot target specific ultimates, making it less effective against rapid-fire heroes like Orion or Celeste.
  • Speed & Level Sensitivity: Because the fourth skill is time-based, it is vulnerable to energy acceleration. This may require pairing Fluffy with Jorgen or Satoshi. Additionally, as the suppression is level-dependent, it is vulnerable to Polaris’s or Freezing Banner’s level reduction effects.
  • Unknown Interactions: It is currently unknown whether the fourth skill affects special energy systems, such as those used by Astrid and Isaac.
  • Team Slot Strain: Fluffy lacks stuns or direct energy control, and his self-damage can be problematic in teams without healers, placing a strain on team composition.
  • Clear Matchups: Fluffy has distinct counters: he is strong against normal attacks but weak against energy acceleration and resurrection denial. As a defensive hero, he is likely vulnerable to targeted counter-teams.

Conclusion

  • Fluffy’s kit is highly specialized, requiring precise tuning and timing.
  • Compared to most heroes, he demands significantly more practice and is clearly aimed at experienced players.
  • While positioned as a counter to fast-paced metas, his real impact will depend heavily on his final skill values.
