Official Message: July Events!

☀️ Summer has arrived in Dominion! While the days are getting hotter, July is bringing plenty of adventures, familiar events, and exciting rewards, including the Summer Festival and a few new additions we can’t wait to share with you — so be sure to keep an eye on the calendar so you don’t miss what’s ahead!
🏆 July also brings updated Tournament of Power rewards. Hero Tournaments will now reward Golden Threads instead of Emeralds, while Titan Tournaments will reward Primal and Elemental Catalysts.
And one more thing, Guardians: as mentioned before, we’ve reduced the number of recurring event posts in the feed, but don’t worry — all Energy rewards will still be evenly distributed throughout the month.

Game Updates

Several updates have either been released or announced:

Adventure Changes: Various changes to the Adventure event system have been implemented (see the detailed article for more information).
Titan AoC Golden Ticket: A price increase for the Titan AoC Golden Ticket has been announced. It is currently unknown whether the VIP benefits or bundle contents will also change.
Server Merges: Server merges are planned for the near future. The previous round of merges took place more than five years ago.
Ascension Skills: A revised release schedule for Ascension Skills has been announced.
War Flags: New War Flags have been been introduced. However, many Heroes do not currently have access to them, and the developers have acknowledged that some War Flag effects are not functioning as intended.

Official Message: Guardians, I have a few updates for you!

The price of the Titan AoC Golden Ticket will be adjusted and will be approximately $5 higher.
And here are some updates you’ve been waiting for:
A server merge is planned for next month and will include both Web and Facebook servers.
We’re also exploring ways to release Ascension Skills for older Heroes more frequently and on a regular basis.
We’ll share more details soon. 👀

1. Exclusive Items in Hero Event Shops Are Not Guaranteed Every Event

Q. so they removed the 70 medals totem from the shop of new hero event……?
essentially downgrading the event 🤦🏻‍♂️

will this be new standard now? CM pls answer
A. Hello, good question. One-time-purchases are not necessary the norm for hero adventure shops, although we do understand the players appreciate it when they can buy a totem or other exclusive items. When it will be available for a certain adventure we try to highlight it in our social media posts.

2. Release Timing for Andvari’s Roots in the Shop Remains Under Review

Q. Now Andvari Roots will be taken out as prize in August, when will they become availble in the Elemental tournament shop?(Also August?)
A. Great question, I’m checking with the team if and when they will be available in the shops, and as soon as I get an answer, I will update you here. Please do keep in mind that a decision on this could take a while.

3. Appreciation Shared for Community Posts and Memes

Q. If I’m being honest lol
A. As always: here for memes and cats, appreciate you! (your Dmitri meme made the og team members laugh just fyi 😄 )

4. Guus Soul Stones Are Available Through the Hero Rotation System

Q. Ok, ill ask it here. Does anyone know why cant you get Guus soul stones from Soul Atrium? I mean outside the Grand Prize. You can get SS of many heroes added after Guus, but not his (for example Electra).
Comment. Because Guus is just a grand prize at the moment. Some time in the future, he will probably become a “very rare” prize.

5. Feedback on Pop-Up Offers Continues to Be Shared with the Development Team

Q. I wish this swine stopped making all the popups. I’m not buying it for $4 anyway.
A. Noted on the pop-ups. I’ve passed it along before, but I don’t think any changes are planned at the moment.

6. War Flag Damage Is Calculated from Total Damage During a Single Activation

Q. i wonder if CM can clarify this? Would this flag only work with heroes that hit enemies at once like lara crofts ult, or with heroes that ult and hit multiple enemies in successive hits like keira for example?
A. Hello hello, good question. I’ve chatted with the team and here is what I was able to find out:

It works with abilities that hit multiple enemies, and the hits do not have to occur at exactly the same time. Its damage is calculated as 12% of the total damage dealt during a single flag activation.

So Keira’s ultimate would count both the outgoing and returning hits as one activation. However, if there is a long delay between damage ticks, like with Guus’s ult, it will not count.

7. Previous Explanation of Guus’s War Flag Interaction Corrected

Q. Why she said that Guus ulti doesn’t proc it, it’s 2 different information from official sources so a bit confused.
A. As far as I understand it – flag counts as pure damage
A. Oh let me rephrase that, I said for Keira counts both as one activation, and for Guus doesn’t count as one, because too many ticks pass
Q. ok this is actually incorrect
A. Yes, you’re correct, I’ve said it wrong – pure damage
Let me edit my initial message
Q. Flag deals pure damage, but it can only be triggered by physical damage dealt to at least two enemy heroes
A. Yesyes, I was wrong, thanks for correcting it, it is pure dmg
Q. Ok so Guus ulti doesn’t proc the flag? Asking because in the news article between the heroes mentioned this flag helps, Guus is one of them.
A. Here is how I understood it – in case of Kaira because of how fast her ult is it counts in one activation for both incoming and outgoing ult. And in the case of Guus is goes activate but because it’s not that fast (too many ticks pass) it doesn’t count all the damage in one flag activation.
I hope that makes sense 😄
Q. Guus’ ultimate works if he manages to strike multiple heroes with one attack, but his ult animation is so long and spaced out the flag will strike multiple times instead of just hitting all at once at the end

8. TMNT War Flag Bug Fixed; Mushy Clone Behavior Under Review

Small FYI – the bug where new flag was not working with TMNT has been fixed. Once the next in-game day starts it should be working as intended
Q. Does this bug fix also address Mushy’s clones, or is this just for TMNT?
A. Just TMNT, what’s up with the Mushy clones, I can check on that next week
Q. Mushy’s basic attack can trigger the new flag if she hits multiple targets, but her clones can’t do the same with their basic attacks even if they hit multiple targets
A. Hm, got it, I’ll check if that’s intended

9. Team Will Check Whether a Compatible Hero List for the New War Flag Can Be Provided

Q. is there a list of the heroes it works with? That would be ideal to have because the description and what it actually works on, is confusing
A. That’s fair, I’ll see what I can do about that
Q. thankyou
A. But not sure if we have one, but I’ll ask around
Q. all good, it’s just that it would appear it works with Lara but not Keira cos she hit’s targets 1 after the other but since she does that and it works, does that mean that it works with say Iris’s pet that bites 1 after the other? Questions like that are raised
A. I’ve answered about Keira yesterday. But I still think your larger point is valid

10. Guild Entry Restriction Proposal Forwarded Again Following Chat Issues

Q. Btw this is another reason why the game needs a way to stop ppl from entering a guild:

Our guild chat is bugged. Upon entering it, the game crashes. So guild chat is not working anymore. My account is set on guild chat so i cannot use any of the tabs, incl. CoW and Combat Training.

It would be lovely if you FOR ONCE listen to your players and fix your game. Thank you

Edit: Our chat was cleaned and working again. Also this guy was banned. GJ Support team 🙂
Still i suggest a method to keep players out of guilds, so the support staff isnt needed in the 1st place
A. Hello hello, I’m really happy that it was resolved. Yeah I remember the chat bug from last week, it was fixed by the team pretty fast but I’m very sorry about the inconvenience.

Also noted on the Guild enterance, I’ve noted it last week, I’ll bring it up again

11. Server Merge Plans Have Now Been Confirmed and Announced

That’s a copy from my questions to you like a month ago…
A. Yes, we now have server merge plans and we announced it

12. Web and Facebook Versions Will Have Separate Server Merges

Q. Will the web and Facebook merge?
A. No, they will stay separate platforms. Separate merge for FB and Web servers

13. Details on the Scale of the Server Merge Will Be Shared Later

Q. Any details about ammount of servers planned to be merged?
A. No details at the moment, but soon ™
Q. Do the planned mergers include a large number of servers?
A. Define “large” 😄(I’m not confirming details as of now)
But I can try and answer some questions I do know

14. Facebook Payment Issues Should Be Reopened with Support for Investigation

Q. Hi CM

i want to transfert my hero wars facebook account from server 60 to server 28, but the payment page is not loading
i tried to contact support, they said me to do the usual steps, but looks like they didnt understood well my feedback

PS: its an issue that you know already, and facebook support also
A. Hello hello, I’m so sorry you’re having issues with payments on FB. But there is not much I can do from my side, it’s much better to handle cases like this with support team, I would recommend re-opening the ticket. If you want me to follow up on it, you can DM me the ticket number and I can try and check.

15. Facebook Version of Hero Wars Will Not Shut Down on September 30

Q. CM why the radio silence on the 30 September deadline on Facebook access closing for Dominion Era. You say Don’t worry, you don’t say it is not true
A. Let’s start with this, I’ve answered this in Week.28 QA No.14 a while back, but let’s do it here.

We’re not shutting down the Facebook version of Hero Wars Dominion Era on September 30. Basically Facebook is just changing their architecture from Instant Gaming to Zero Permissions. Our team is on it, and everything should be migrated according to the new FB requirements.

TL:DR – it’s all good 🐱

16. Expanding the Fan Kit with Existing Assets Is Being Considered

Q. On that note, this has been a long term minor issue of mine. HWA has a very rich fan kit and in general investment into art, music and such. HWDE feels very “culturally poor” in comparison. Can we request Nexters to give HWDE that same love HWA gets?
A. It depends on what exactly you’d like to see there. If you mean stickers and such, I can add that to our fankit as well, just only with existing heroes/titans. Or do you mean something else?
