Hero Battle Guide

- This Pattern comes in a single type.
- It boosts both Magic Attack (up to 8%) and Magic Penetration (up to 6%).
- Because it enhances two stats at once, each bonus is only half of what you would gain from their dedicated Patterns.
- It can be combined with regular Magic Attack Patterns (up to 16%) and Magic Penetration Patterns (up to 12%). When stacked together, the overall offensive boost is increased by about 50%, making this setup especially powerful for burst teams.
- The Magic Attack bonus also benefits heroes who don’t deal magic damage, since it enhances both pure damage and healing recovery.
Three Reasons Why Magic Mastery Is Tricky to Use

- Since each stat bonus is only half as strong as a dedicated Pattern, Magic Mastery alone often fails to provide enough Magic Penetration.
- Even in teams that rely on Magic Penetration, its value drops when paired with heroes like Orion, who already bypass Magic Defense unless the enemy has artifact-based buffs. While the Magic Attack bonus still applies, using a Magic Attack Pattern instead gives double the stat gain.
- Compared to Magic Attack Patterns, Magic Mastery is less versatile. Magic Attack Patterns are crucial even for heroes like Heidi and Iris, who don’t deal magic damage, because they also maximize healing recovery power. By contrast, Magic Mastery is great for heroes like Amira or Krista, but for Heidi and Martha only the Magic Attack side is useful. Magic Penetration does nothing for heroes who deal no magic damage at all.
Heroes Best Suited for Magic Mastery Pattern
- Heroes that often lack Magic Penetration—such as Krista, Cascade, Augustus, Amira, Folio, and Helios—are excellent candidates for this Pattern.
- For these heroes, the optimal setup is usually to combine Magic Mastery with additional Magic Penetration Patterns.
- However, if your team already provides enough Magic Penetration from other sources, adding Magic Mastery becomes unnecessary and offers only diminishing returns.
