August Events

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Hero-Wars-2025-August-Events.jpg

The Seer’s Game begins on August 22

  • Originally scheduled twice before, the event will finally launch on August 22.
  • Expectations are high—will the third time be the charm?
  • It seems to feature new skins, including one of Chaba’s mother.
  • The name suggests heavy RNG mechanics. Since recent Hero Wars events have been criticized for their randomness, this one may receive similar feedback.
  • Many limited skins remain unavailable. It’s unclear what will happen to the beach skins or the Winterfest exclusives that were available for purchase, but some may reappear during this event.

Chabba Rework and Ascension Skill

  • A major rework for Chabba, including the introduction of an Ascension skill, has been confirmed for this event.
  • Chabba was already a formidable force in Adventure Mode, where tank buffs amplified his durability and control. While he was previously considered a tank geared more toward experienced players, this rework has the potential to turn him into a core frontline hero that fits a much wider range of team strategies.
  • At the same time, the update may also raise the importance of Celeste as a counter. Her ability to directly punish Chabba has often gone underappreciated, since he wasn’t always a primary threat in most battles. However, veteran players have long recognized her potential in this matchup—especially during times when Adventure buffs pushed Chabba’s power to the forefront. With his upcoming improvements, Celeste could emerge as an even more valuable strategic pick in competitive play.

Official Message: Chabba Is Getting Hungrier!

  • Are you craving some classic Hero updates, Guardians? Great news — next week is going to be a big one for Chabba! On August 19, Chabba will become stronger (and hungrier!) than ever, with an updated old Skill and brand-new Ascension Skills!
  • And starting August 22, the new Seer’s Game event will kick off, offering an extra-powerful new Skin for Chabba as a reward!

Here is everything you need to know about his improvements that will take effect soon:

  • Glutton’s Gratitude on Ascension Rank II: Every time Chabba gets healed, his Physical Attack increases for the rest of the battle. Note: This works even if healing is blocked or Chabba is already at full health.
  • Fast Food on Ascension Rank V: Wild Hunger skill will cost only 75% Energy instead of 100%!
  • But it’s not all about Chabba’s Ascension skills, as he’ll also receive Fat Layer Upgrade: Chabba’s Armor boost from his Fat Layer skill will be doubled!

The Lara Croft event starts on August 25

  • It is planned as a one-week, adventure-style event.
  • Pre-event bundles will be available throughout the week.
  • The exact format is unknown, such as whether it will follow last year’s model or the recent Goose event.

Unconfirmed Appearance of Lara’s New Skins

  • It is currently unconfirmed whether Lara’s new skin, which was introduced in the mobile version, will be available in this version of the game.

August’s Tournament of Titan Power

[Hero Wars Guide] Tournament of Titan Power
  • This time, it lasts only four days.
  • Login bonuses are also limited to four days.
  • Quest requirements remain the same, meaning there are fewer days to complete them, effectively making the event more challenging.

Several bugs have been addressed in Totem Fusion

[Hero Wars] Totem Fusion Guide
  • Several bugs have been addressed, though the system is still not perfect.
  • Ice Age titans are starting to show their true potential.
  • New combination theories are emerging as older strategies become less effective. Failed attacks are becoming more common.
  • Personally, I’m experimenting with new team against Fire Titan defenses, which could develop into future meta strategies.

Official Message:  Fusion Skills Fixes

Hey, Guardians! We have released a set of fixes and adjustments for several Totem Fusion Skills to address technical issues, description mismatches, and balance concerns. Here is what changed:

Ice Age
  • Fixed an issue where the Fragility effect damage multiplier has been processed as a general multiplier, instead of being the additive. That caused the effect to stack incorrectly and underperform. Now effects stack as intended, extending duration without internal multiplications.
  • Bonus damage from Fragility increased from 10% to 55%. Description updated for clarity.
  • Result: Significant buff.
Last Flash
  • Fixed incorrect duration values where all levels were using 10 seconds regardless of rank. Now duration scales correctly with rank (5/8/11/14/17 seconds).
  • Result: Functionality corrected, duration depends on skill rank.
Flame Dance, The Depths’ Whisper, Murmur of the Crags
  • Fixed mismatches between displayed and actual values. Actual damage, healing, and durability stats were significantly increased to match intended scaling with both skill rank and totem level.
  • Result: Buff, especially at mid to high ranks.
Wrath of the Depths
  • Increased stun duration by 0.5 seconds at all ranks. Damage significantly boosted to keep it competitive with other Elemental Fusion skills.
  • Result: Notable buff.
Primal Zeal
  • Fixed an issue where the skill would not trigger when defending. Now it triggers correctly in all situations. Some localizations updated for clarity; mechanics unchanged.
  • Result: Functionality restored.
Triple Cycle
  • Fixed healing scaling issue where ranking up the skill reduced healing per second due to an incorrect formula. Now healing increases with skill upgrades, and duration scaling works correctly.
  • Result: Buff through proper scaling (or through “per second” logic correction, to be precise).
Call of Elements
  • Fixed a bug where normal Titan attacks could trigger the cooldown without applying the effect. Now the skill only goes on cooldown when activated by a Titan skill.
  • Result: Functionality restored.
General Fixes

Fixed several technical validation issues that could cause battles to end incorrectly.

Official Community Manager FAQ

Titles are tailored to the content.

1. Lara Croft is coming soon

  • Q. CMs is there a chance we can buy the turtle special equipment items anytime soon?
  • A. Hey! Can’t say anything about “soon”, but passed the request along! I would love to get that opportunity too 🤞 Right now, no soon-ish plans for TMNT-related things, but Lara Croft is coming, stay tuned!

2. The Treasure Hunt difficulty was set too high

  • Q. Can you please explain, how we should reach all prizes for the Treasure Hunt? Even on pretty active servers everyone is missing at least one chest, often even two chests.
Who came up with the numbers? Is it based on last year? Then it’s a good indicator for you, in which direction Hero Wars is going… because more and more players are leaving.
It would be nice, if you can clarify it directly, but from my experience you will wait until next Wednesday… and sorry to say it that directly… that’s not how we all expect that a community manager should work. You are here to help the community, and waiting one week is not helpful.
  • A. Hey! Yes, you were right, I will clarify that on Wednesday. Not sure how much of use my answer would be for you a few days ago, as it will be still the same – yep, the numbers were right (as they were the intended ones), yet something definitely was miscalculated.

The idea of this event/server bundle (it’s kind of something in-between) is that value is not just guaranteed and it requires certain input from players. But even with that in mind, I think it’s safe to say that just giving you a disappointing activity that you can’t take full advantage of is not something we were purposefully trying to do.

All the feedback was brought to the team, both from our side and from the support team side, so I really hope to see some changes before the next launch. And yes, we this one we did make it harder for ourselves to get you on board with that activity next time around Т_Т

3. Improvements to Conquest, including matchmaking, are being planned

  • Q. I would like to remind you of the following: The “Combat Training Button” for Guild Wars is still not implemented. This has reached a new level of urgency with the new Totem Fusion skills.

In this context, please also add a feature to the COW combat-training-button (and of course to the asked GW button) that automatically includes the totem skills onto the opposing team that wants to be tested. There are still plenty of players who don’t want to use 3rd-party software for Hero Wars and still want to test their opponents in wars. With all the manual additions that are necessary for useful tests in the meantime, this is becoming increasingly impossible, or at least very time-consuming to even prepare proper tests. Same for patterns for hero tests.

Furthermore, although it’s a slightly different topic, it should also be reminded that making assignments in guild wars visible for non-generals is also a topic often brought up to the Starboard that remained undone.

I don’t even want to imagine what Tony_nx looks like now, when he already looked like this almost a year ago while waiting for the “Combat Training Button” for Guild Wars… (see article)
  • A. Yep, bringing up the GW combat training on the team meetings once again.
Not going to address specific posts about AoC, as there are several regarding the same issue. We do have plans for AoC updates, and I will keep bringing with the team the matchmaking problems.

We know for sure, that for some players current formula works quite well, yet there are still plenty of mismatches and repeating battles among the same guilds. Not sure if there is a silver bullet solution that fits everyone, but we need to keep looking for it

4. AoC ranking rewards may be revised

  • Q. The pattern chest rewards for AoC are chests of old type without magic penetration pattern. now i am disappointed.
  • A. Well, with this one I don’t have much too add, apart from the fact that we usually do not put just freshly released items (that goes almost for everything – Patterns, Flags, Titans, Heroes, what have you) into any lootboxes at least a month or two.

Yes, I know sometimes it’s frustrating, but we need to keep new things somewhat exclusive and shiny at least for a bit. So as a general rule, you can expect that lootboxes and other similar things will be updated with the new staff in the future, but it will take at least a couple of months or more.

Still, maybe for AoC we might have made an exception, it’s not that easy to get those lootboxes. I will share the feedback with the team, hopefully with the next launch these boxes will be a bit more interesting for you already! But no promises just yet

5. There is a bug with the total Titan Power

  • Q. Is anyone seeing a power difference between Titans of people who did fusion a few days ago vs yesterday? My guildmate’s fusion skills are a lot weaker than mine, yet he has ~250k more power. Both members have titans maxxed. Has this been reported as a possible bug? I did my titan fusion 2-3 days ago and my guildmate did it last night.
  • A. Yep, there is a bug with Titan/Totem Power calculations, it does not affect actual effectiveness, but it’s still sucks because it affects all kinds of rankings.

As far as I know, it’s being fixed right at this moment – you can see that your Total Titan Power might change slightly soon, that’s because now we are updating the numbers and making sure they are correctly correspond to your real Titan Team (and Totem) power.

6. Apologies for the many Totem Fusion bugs

  • Q. I’m honestly shocked of how inactive your colleagues are in fixing the current bugs. Now, over a week has passed since introducing the “Totem Fusion” Skills – a feature for which you’re charging a lot of money – and even the worst bug isn’t fixed yet: The “pay for weakening your titans”-bug of the “Ice Age”-Skill.

Instead of increasing the damage by 25,5% (here: The defending team with Ice Age Rank I on a 1-Star-Level-113-Totem), it decreases the damage made from the defending team by about 74,5% during the fragility (for example: totem damage during the fragility: 32.758 instead of 128.476 when Ice Age isn’t active anymore).

Sometimes it seems like you are deliberately trying to drive players away from the game… Or how do you think a player feels when he realizes that he has invested resources to significantly weaken his Titans?
  • A. No one was inactive or lazy, we were fixing all the major issues with Totem Fusion and prepare to solve them with one big patch, that was technically way more stable and safe than fix them one by one. And that’s what happened yesterday – you can check the news if you have not read the post yet!

I am first to admit that this was a pretty rocky release. On behalf of the team, I apologize for that, and we will address it more publicly a bit later this week. Thank you for bringing our attention to the issues, that was very important

7. Regarding the false information in Nexters’ official announcement

  • Hey! Tony is on vacation, and I am a 1-person community department at the moment, so please excuse me for switching the attention yesterday. Should have warn you that I will be back with more responses later this week.
  • This was a mistake, but not a technical one and not one with a good working for everybody solution. The issue was with communication – the change was planned, but we, CMs, were not aware of that – hence, the miscommunication through publications on our part.
  • We are striving to give you more context and more information, but this time we made a mistake. We will do our best not to repeat it, and we’ve had a meeting with the team to find out how to avoid this kind of information breaks between us in the future.
