  • You may notice something unexpected on this month’s calendar, but some things are better left unexplained… at least for now 👀

  • ⚠️ Due to technical reasons, the special one-day offer for Lara Croft and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles previously announced for July 31 will not be available. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it and appreciate your understanding.

Seventh Totem

The following clues suggest that a new Totem separate from the Distortion Totem may be introduced. Note: This is not confirmed information, but rather a possibility based on the available clues.

1. New design for the Celestial City:

A pedestal has also been prepared opposite the Distortion Totem.

2. A new Totem leveling item:

An item used to level up Distortion Totems has been introduced, but there is another item with a similar design.

Official Community Manager FAQ

Titles are tailored to the content.

1. Making the Grand Prize Feel Valuable to Players, With Feedback Shared With the Development Team

  • Q. Only one of these Grand Prizes has ANY use for a lot of players. The concept of a Grand Prize is that it is has some value, so if you are going to run an event like this, some understanding of game mechanics, player expectation on rewards etc would be good to see.
  • A. Thank you for sharing that, I completely understand that you want the Grand Prize to feel… well Grand. I can’t share specifics on event economy calculations, but I will make sure to pass along the feedback.

2. Duplicate Promotion Sent Due to a Technical Issue With the Original Message

  • Q. 2 days in a row in our mailbox, is the event going so poorly that they need to cram this down our throat in a desperate and shameless attempt to get us to spend on it CM ?
  • A. Hi, it’s because the first promo we did yesterday had a technical issue and the text was not displayed properly. So we made a decision to send it over today a second time to make sure everyone actually saw it. I do apologise for the spam.

3. No Current Plans for Bad Luck Protection on Golden Threads, but the Suggestion Will Be Relayed

  • Q. btw when are we getting a bad luck protection for using golden threads i have some threads but im waiting for a blp
  • A. Thank you for the suggestion, I do not think we have plans for that at the moment, but the request seems reasonable and I’ll relay it to the team!

4. Concerns Over the Rapid Pace of New Content, With the Current Balance Considered Appropriate

  • Q. Personally, I don’t mind that Nexters add new totem/titans… I’m confused by pace of new content…Nexters relatively recently added two new titans and new totem skills…players haven’t had time to learn new combat system…and now they adding another update (fundamentally new update)…Nexters your pursuit of money destroying desire to play and learn game…everything is happening too quickly…new heroes/titans should appear a maximum of once every 3 months…fundamentally new content once every 6 months…Nexters hold your horses or people will run away…
  • A. This is something we often discuss here, and my answer and perspective hasn’t really changed. I understand your perspective and I don’t want to invalidate your concerns, but from our perspective it’s always a hard balance. Keeping the game exciting and interesting for all players, but also making sure that there’s time for players to explore new content. In my opinion right now we’re balancing it quite well, but I do hear what you’re saying. I keep bringing this perspective up for the team to make sure your voices are represented in this conversation as well.

5. Information on the Second New Titan Remains a Surprise for Now

  • Q. any info on second titan or timeframe? Thank you
  • A. It must be kept a surprise for now 😉

6. Request to Restore Totem-to-Emerald Exchange Shared With the Development Team, With No Promises

[Hero Wars Guide] Icon_sphere_fairy Distorted Spirit Summoning Sphere
  • Q. Can we Have Totem Trade In for Emeralds Back as a Consolation Prize for NOT being able to even use Our Absolute Totem Summoning Spheres for New Element at least for a **limited period** ??

We Have had Numerous Titan / Season Events to Bank these Resources

With “Server Merge” Increasing Activity, this should be a Easy Ask, Especially to those Long Time Players and give Newer Ones More Freedom ….. Thank You
  • A. Thank you for the suggestion, I will pass this along. No promises at this point, but I see where you’re coming from.

7. Emerald Income Reductions Acknowledged, but the Current Reward Structure Will Remain Unchanged

  • Q. 💎 💎 we want free emeralds💎 💎

We are losing emeralds from tournment of power.

We lost emeralds from totem spheres

We are getting less emeralds from island maps.

Now, we are getting less emeralds from Arena too because of merge.

    Please add any source
  • A. I understand the concern. As we’ve discussed before, we’re currently making broader adjustments to the game economy, and some Emerald sources have changed as part of that.

I know that when you look at all of these changes together, the overall impact can feel significant. We’ve heard that feedback and continue to pass it along.

For now, though, the current reward structure will stay as it is.

8. Account Deletion Compensation Covers Purchased Emeralds at an Approximate 1:1 Rate

  • Q. What exchange rate are you going to use for those Emeralds?
The horrible 1x price that virtually nobody ever buys?

I briefly considered allowing my best alt into my main before I realized how bad the exchange rate might be.

ALSO: WHAT ABOUT THE ACTUAL unused EMERALDS ALREADY ON THE DELETED ACCOUNT!I!I!?
(Including, but by no means limited to, those that might have been purchased by cash during a 5x sale with the VIP bonus applied?)
  • A. Hello, much like it’s stated in the FAQ we can’t disclose the specific rate, but I can clarify that you will only get the emeralds purchased, not the emeralds acquired from in-game activities.
  • Q. Hi CM, I was hoping you would have had time to find out what the approximate or relative conversion rate for account deletion for (2) accounts merging to the same server? Hopefully you can let me/us know today. We only have a few days left to make a decision. Thanks!
  • A. Hello 👋
I spoke to the team, and in general we don’t recommend using compensation as the main reason to keep or abandon an account or a way to consolidate your resources during the merger. If the account has valuable progress, transferring it to another server may be a better option. If you don’t need it, you can leave it behind and receive emeralds for your purchases.

In case you do decide not to transfer it, please remember that compensation applies only to eligible purchases and paid emeralds (meaning you’ll not get emeralds earned from in-game activities) and for emerald purchases it’s roughly 1:1, though the final amount may vary and we can’t share the exact formula, like I said earlier.

9. Server Merges Aim to Maintain Long-Term Population and Competition Rather Than Increase Spending

[Hero Wars] Server Marges
  • Q. people complain about dead servers,
    sure, i agree,
but they could have just combined 2 low activity servers to form a decent medium activity server.
they will receive more likes than hate if they do that.

but what they are doing now is purely based on greed of wanting an extremely high level of competition in each server (oh my God, those 8 dead servers combined into 1)
extremely high competition means people will spend a lot of money for the company to compete with other players.

and at the same time they achieve: ‘economy rebalancing’ by removing all those extra ems that many players have been getting from Arena. Imagine the number of servers reduced by around 6x, that measn 6x less rewards for all players. That means no more free easy ems for you and me.

By doing this, they will receive a lot of hates than likes.
Many casual players will quit. Mark my words.
I can foresee that, players understand their own community more than the game owners. Too bad.
  • A. When deciding how many servers to merge, the team has to look beyond their activity at this exact moment. Combining two low-activity servers might look more comfortable initially, but if both continue declining, we could end up with another underpopulated server that needs to be merged again relatively soon.

The idea is to create a server population that should remain healthy and active for longer, rather than repeatedly doing small merges every time activity drops.
  • Q. many will be unhappy.

1st group: those who purchased and spent a lot of money to top their server now cannot top it easily. If they want challenge they would have moved server in the first place ($10 cost is not a problem for them). They don’t need server merge

2nd group: Those that spent a lot to be strong but wanted to stay in their current servers to be on the top, they will feel being side-lined……….. i spent so much and i wanted to stay but now forced to spend much more in order to compete with another 1000-2000 people? no thanks, would most likely quit.

3rd group: F2P or minimum spending players will now go to the most bottom of the list. They spent a bit money / not at all, want to have fun with the game, but now will see themselves totally bullied after server merge.
Can’t even compete for top100 arena most likely.
now ask yourself, do you think they will be happier after merge?

remember, around 1000-2000 more people than your current server. You will be forced to compete in a totally new world.
they are doing this massive merge, without understanding what is the impact, so rush within 1 week of announcement.
they could have just merge in a smaller number.
it’s total confusing and disrespect to players.
  • A. I do understand that this can be a significant adjustment for players who are used to their current ranking. But keeping servers active and competitive is part of what we’re trying to achieve with the merges. A server with more active players will naturally be more competitive than a declining one.
But increased spending isn’t the goal here. The goal is to create healthier servers that remain active for longer.
  • Q. Why doesn’t the merge focus on trying to keep similarly aged servers together?
The merge is not only massive, but Nexters didn’t even making a major effort to merge servers that are right next to each other, prefering to (presumably) intentionally and needlessly throw people in with not-just 5 or more servers, but in many cases servers which might be years older than they are or which had close to twice as many years (or more) in which to develop their accounts.

CM – Why did they do that? The mass merge is bad enough, but why not try to error on the side of merging ADJACENT SERVERS mosts?

What is to be gained by throwing people into what Nexters normally calls a massive “Unfair advantage” for the older players getting play against new players…

You don’t allow normal server changes to allow older players to move to newer servers… often called an “unfair advantage.”

You’re just feeding them newer players like throwing chum a shark?
So the simple questions is: Why?
  • A. This was also covered in the FAQ, and we chatted about that today a bit more. The idea is to make servers much more lively and competitive. We understand that not everyone will be happy with more competition and more players on the server, but we also believe that overall it will be an improvement.

10. Origin Servers and Server Transfer Rules Will Remain Unchanged After the Merge

  • Q. How will moves to “An older server” work after the merge?
It’s possible that a lot of people should be considering server moves now, but ought to know what to expect before they do.

    For example:
Right now, if someone is on Server 297 (and started there) and wanted to move to Server 296, they can.
Because it is server that is that same age of older…

That means they’ll end up server 230, which might workout a lot better for them than being moved to Server 65, and facing veterans that have been playing for many years longer than they have.

But what if they wait until after the merge, and 297 gets moved to Server 65?
Server 296 will only get shoved into server 230, which is obviously much newer and possible better for them than server 65.

After the forced merge, what happens then?
Will they still be able to join the people from Server 296 on server 230 _after the merge_?

    How does all that work?
  • A. That’s covered in the FAQ as well. But I saw some folks asking for extra clarification, let me try and cover that as well. Players were asking what happens if your original server is different at the time of the merge compared to the server when you originally created your account. I checked and we do keep your transfer history, and yes your server when you created your account is considered your origin server.
  • Q. Sometimes I wonder if anyone at Nexters actually plays their own game—perhaps with infinite resources? Leaving aside all the poor decisions made in recent months, this server merger is unparalleled in its lack of transparency and its negative impact on the game.

With this move, you are destroying the last bit of soul the game had left. I play primarily because of my guild and the nice people in it—many of whom have unfortunately quit in recent months due to Nexters’ bad decisions.

I am constantly amazed at how you manage to make everything worse. This merger feels like something decided by rolling dice during a boozy night out where you were squandering players’ money—just randomly picking which servers to combine. You have caused massive damage to the player community. Many have left the merged servers, either returning to their old ones or fleeing to servers unaffected by the merger. In doing so, you’ve destroyed the very soul of the game: the players and the guilds.

On top of that, you scheduled this major upheaval during the summer holidays. How are guild leaders supposed to react? We have several members on vacation; the guild leader can’t plan whether to use the transfer ticket to move the whole guild or stay put. You could have at least given the ticket a longer validity period so guilds could make decisions after the merger took place. You give absolutely no thought to the people who run and lead guilds—in fact, this is a slap in the face to them!

Another big question is: what happens after the merger? Will the new server also serve as a new “starting server”? Will it still be possible to move to servers that are newer than the post-merger server (while still being older than the one where we originally started playing)?
  • A. Thank you for sharing your perspective, I share the opinion that guilds and community feel are a very important and, I’d personally say, a crucial part of the game (I might be biased as a CM 😀) and I understand that you want to keep your guild and timing is never perfect for such a big change. In other answers we discussed our reasoning behind the merge and I don’t want to keep repeating it, but in a nutshell we just want to keep the game healthy and competitive. I sincerely hope you get to keep your guild as is and maybe even acquire some new friends with the merger.

As for your questions – the ticket will be valid, just don’t forget to claim it from your email.

And you keep your origin server, and server change rules stay the same.
