Hero Guide
- The name comes from its folded pages. A magical book with a mind of its own.
- A magical hero who controls clones.
- According to the official description, it has a high suitability for the Maestro Battle.

Folio’s Strengths and Team Composition Theory
- Has a special debuff called Mind Stealer that steals intelligence from the enemy.
- Can deal magic damage instead of being debuffed by Sebastian.
- Can place decoy clones in front and behind the team to absorb damage.
- By placing a decoy at the front of the team, it can effectively block Ishmael‘s attacks.
- Placing a decoy at the front of the team can protect the fourth member of the team from Dante‘s attacks.
- By placing a decoy at the back of the team, it can effectively block Jhu and Jorgen‘s melee attacks.
- It can prevent its own instant death with a decoy while gaining health.
- Unlike Rufus and Astaroth, Folio’s instant death counter with decoys cannot be nullified by heroes such as Morrigan.
- There is an official combo: If Amira‘s first skill is activated two seconds before Folio’s first skill, they will both trigger simultaneously, unleashing a barrage of massive damage on the entire enemy team. This combo must be manually activated.
Folio’s Weaknesses
- Deploys a decoy at the front of the team, making it difficult to gauge the enemy’s normal attacks.
- When used in conjunction with Kayla, it can place a decoy in the enemy’s territory. While there are times when this is beneficial, it can also undermine its original purpose.
- Can move to the center of the team regardless of the original order. This can lead to situations where its vulnerability cannot be fully mitigated.
( > Order Rank ) - In a five-person team, decoy placement is usually fixed. However, as the number of team members decreases, decoy positions often shift unpredictably, which can significantly impact gauge management. As a result, mastering Folio requires extensive testing and hands-on experience.
- When defeated, it can switch places with a decoy to avoid instant death, but this effect only activates after Astalos’ Resurrection skill. Therefore, the team cannot effectively use Astalos’ Resurrection skill.
In addition, if Folio avoids instant death with his own skill, he will be resistant to Morrigan’s skeletonization. However, if Astaroth’s resurrection skill activates first, this resistance will not be triggered and Folio will be turned into a skeleton.
Because of this skill trait, Folio does not work well with Astaroth. - Mind Stealer only affects Sebastian’s debuff cut based on the number of times it is activated. As a result, it is not very effective against Sebastian.
- Like other Magic Heroes, Folio is somewhat vulnerable to Isaac.
- Like other Mage Heroes, Folio has trouble defeating Rufus on his own.
Flavor Text
- What would happen if a tome of powerful spells attained sentience? You’d get the no less powerful Folio.
- He might prefer the quiet of the library to the chaos of battle, but an insatiable sense of curiosity drove him to join the ranks of the Guardians. And now, when the whole world sees what he’s really capable of, no one will ever dare to call him small ever again!

Official interview
http://herowars.me/4i0tYzw
We’ve prepared an exclusive interview with the project producer, Michael, who supervised Folio’s development. He will share his vision for the hero and answer questions about his mechanics and role in the game.
Why is the new hero a mage?
- Q: Why is the new hero a mage?
- A: For a long time, teams based on physical damage have dominated the game. Recent changes and updates, such as Orion’s Ascension and the addition of Augustus, have helped restore balance between mages and warriors. Folio will bring even more options for fans of magic-based teams.
Is the hero difficult to master?
- Q: Is the hero difficult to master?
- A: Folio has a well-balanced skill set—it takes some time to master him, but he’s not overloaded with complex mechanics. I think players won’t have too much trouble figuring him out, especially with the huge number of videos and guides created by our community.
Core concept
- Q: What’s the core concept behind this hero? What are his strengths?
- A: I’d say Folio’s key feature is the tight synergy between his abilities. For example, his ability Mind Stealer grants him magic attack power and reduces the enemy’s magic resistance. This, in turn, boosts the effectiveness of his next uses of the ability, creating a cycle.
Additionally, stealing Intelligence increases the difference between Folio’s Intelligence and his opponents’, which enhances the damage of his ultimate ability, Weight of Knowledge.
Folio doesn’t look like a gym regular, so in battle, he relies on secret knowledge. With his ability Inky Friends, he creates illusionary copies that improve his survivability on the battlefield.
One more thing—Mind Stealer will deal damage to any enemy who removes its Intelligence-stealing effect. A little slap in the face for those who love to cleanse effects with their lute.
What kind of team
- Q: What kind of team will Folio perform well in?
- A: As a mage, Folio pairs well with heroes who deal or enhance magic damage, such as Aurora, Orion, Augustus, and Polaris.
For more unusual combos, his synergy with Amira stands out—both heroes have devastating ultimates that, when used at the right time, can deal serious damage to opponents.
Folio’s patrons
- Q: Which pets can be assigned as Folio’s patrons?
- A: Merlin, Axel, Biscuit, and Khorus.
He could perform well against Maestro
- Q: In which game modes can Folio be most effective, and why?
- A: I won’t take away the fun of experimenting, but in my opinion, he could perform well against Maestro.
Fun fact about Folio
- Q: Can you share a fun fact about Folio?
- A: Folio absolutely hates bookworms!
Folio Event
- Q: Finally, what can we expect from the upcoming event?
- A: What do you usually look forward to in an event? The story of a new hero? Valuable rewards? Exciting challenges? A Totem for completing the entire event? You’ll get all of that. But we’d love to hear what matters most to you!
