Hey Guardians! Here is the event schedule for October, check it out. But, some of the closest and biggest events just could not fit there, so let’s talk about them too:

  • Autumn Festival starts on October 1st — celebrate the fall with some Harunian Brew!
  • The end of the month will get delightfully eerie with the Spooky Festival event!
  • The new iteration of Area of Conquest is coming, the one that will bring small, but meaningful changes and quality-of-life tweaks. Stay tuned, as we will share more news next week!
  • And that’s not all, as a truly titanic adventure awaits us in October.

Spooky Festival

Conquest Area 2.0 Launch and Chaos

  • The October update introduced major specification changes to the Conquest Area, now referred to as “Version 2.0.”
  • Speed Boosters were removed from bundle purchases to reduce pay-to-win elements, making Battle Pass acquisition more important than ever. As a result, competition among top guilds now largely depends on how many members own the Battle Pass.
  • After the event ended, players noticed that the item return rate had been reduced. Since the official conversion rates were not disclosed, this quickly became a major topic within the community.

Verdoc’s Appearance

  • Verdoc was introduced as a major turning point in Titan battles.
  • In the current meta, he has already become the second most important Titan for offensive formations after Fire.
  • He is also expected to play a key role in defensive formations, especially as a central defender for CoW-buffed strongholds.

Maya and Jhu Reworks and Tydus’s Arrival on Mobile

  • Following Verdoc and Asherona, Tydus, the Water Summoner Titan, has been announced for release.
  • Reworks for Jhu and Maya were revealed in quick succession, aiming to improve their usability and team synergy.
  • In addition, new Stellar skins for Maya and Jorgen, as well as Devil skins for Jhu and Folio, will be introduced.

1. Spooky Festival Shop Update – October 30

  • Q. CMs You mentioned in the news, that the shop for the spooky coins will be updated.
    Can you give us the change log for that? I would like to know, what items are replaced, so that I can decide if I wanna use my coins before the changes or afterwards.
  • A. Hey, let’s give it a try.
    – Insatiable Wing Aegis and Helm of Clear Thoughts will be removed from the Shop, all other Hero Items stay in the Shop and have the same price. Current Ascension resources in Spooky Fest shop are going to be removed and replaced with
    – 240 Wish Crystals for 1 Coin
    – 160 Wish Insignias for 1 Coin
    On other items:
    – 3500 Skin Stones for 1 Coin replaced with 24 Large Skin Stone Chests for 1 coin (so a bit better value)
    – No items for Chilling Stories – that’s just not a thing this year
    – A few new Demonic Skins (Folio, Augustus and Fafnir) for 10 Coins. Oh, and BUNCH of old Demonic Skins, but I would not recommend bying those – they are pretty overpriced in the Shop right now, I am not sure if that’s intended, but unlocking the old Skins with Skin Stones will be way more efficient for now
    – Chaos Particles, Flawless Pet Stones, Pet Summoning Eggs, Absolute Artifact Chests, Spooky Festival Dolls and Hero Soul Stone Chest all stays in the Shop and will have the same price as they have right now
    – I might have missed something, even though I don’t think so. I am know extremely anxious that some prices are going to be changed for any reason at the last moment, and I will be publicly destroyed here as the vile deceiver and incompetent fool, but that’s life, I guess.

2. Verdoc Quest Details Differ Between In-Game and Official Article

  • Q. Can we please have an answer regarding verdoc quest changes before wednesday / asap?
    Before it negatively impacts players planning to get more picks?
    Will the pick amount for quests be adjusted to the one stated on your website?
  • A. Good catch, and sorry for the confusion! I’ve checked with our team, everything in-game is correct, and the article has already been updated. Will be updated again if we find any other outdated or incorrect details
    Keep in mind that we always mark event articles as preliminary for cases like this.

3. Incorrect settings in Verdoc’s event shop

  • Q. CMs Your devs will have to fix the Verdoc Shop apparently. They have changed the Great Runes by the Outland Coins (obviously it is a mistake, no one will buy this)
  • A. Thank you for bringing this up, I have forwarded it to our dev team.

*This was fixed at the start of the event.

4. Complaints about Verdoc’s resource requirements

  • Q. CMs whoever did the Verdoc map should choke on it … new resources instead of adding new things to existing chests is a very bad move … there are overall 9 heroes whose souls you can not get from soul chests – numbers increasing

    And the worst thing of all – you change things without proper communication … i tell you something … people use 3rd party software only to mitigate your moves … if Nexters would play fair, most players would do so too
  • A. Thanks for sharing the message, like I said above – it has been forwarded to our team.
    Regarding Verdoc map feedback, thank you, but let’s please keep the messaging polite, I do get your frustration, but keeping it civil is an important part of giving feedback.

5. The color that represents all Titans is pink

  • Q. why is this pink for an earth titan? Shouldn’t it be green?
  • A. Fair point. I believe it’s a new colour since it’s our first Titan adventure and it’s supposed to be a colour representing all Titans. But it could be fun to switch it up!

6. Live stream gifts feel outdated by now

  • Q. Hello, CM team! I’ve been putting up with this for a long time. I hope you can improve.
    Why are the gifts during Live Streams so bad? And they’re all the same? This has been going on for 2 or 3 years!
    I’ve been playing this game for almost 6 years. In the early days, the gifts during Live Streams were great, and there were often gifts for every player on the roulette wheel!
    But now you’re getting more and more perfunctory towards us players!!! 
  • A. I get what you mean. The gifts are meant as small thank-yous for joining the stream rather than big rewards. The bigger prizes usually come through the giveaways during the stream. I hope that your luck will hit next time! And from our side we will check about improving the gifts (no promises though as it’s always tricky to balance).

7. The white circle effect under Sebastian’s feet

  • Q. Since when Sebastien put a visual shield (white circle) on the foot of each allied heroes ? With a white bar to show the 15 effect shields (they should have put only 1 bar for the whole team instead).Do the devs made a shadow update recently ?
  • A. Since I’m new to the game, I had to go on a bit of a journey with this one, and check with my colleagues.
    Investigation concluded: No changes has been made to Sebastian, the visual shield you’re referring to has always been there.

8. The “100 Titan Summons” display

  • Q. 100 Titan Summons Display abridged.

    It _looks like_ doing 100 Titan Summons may significantly change the odds on what you get.
    But as other player just told me, it only looks that way.   Clicking “Your loot” will show the missing Titans.

    But I think it should be indicated more clearly.   Perhaps by replacing the last titan icon (51 Rigils here) with a “…” icon or the like that will click to the same display as “Your loot”.

    If it was limited to what’s shown, there would be big problems and I don’t think you should just _assume everyone_ will click “Your loot” to find out it doesn’t really work as shown.
    I suggest the last box be changed to a ” … ” icon which clicks to the “Your loot” page.
  • A. Thank you, that sounds like a very reasonable suggestion, I will bring this up!

9. Do we really need to click the Summoning Circle animation so many times?

  • Q. Its really nice to be able to Summon 100 with 1 click. But i still have to click through these a couple dozen times …
  • A. Sounds like a good QoL suggestion, I will forward it to the team.

10. Request to view guild members’ Totems

  • Q. QoL upgrade which is good to have.
    Please add totem information of the guildies whom we want to assign to attack in guild war.
    Totem is the most important information in a titan battle. Right now can only see the titan lineup without their totem.
    It is troublesome to go back to defense/champion list to check our guildies’ totem.

    If you are new server and you assign people everyday, you would know this feature will help.
  • A. Thank you, I will add this to our feedback as well!

11. Add Catalysts to the Guild Shop as well

  • Q. What do you think about giving us some catalysts for purchase also from the Guild War Shop (and not just, indirectly, from the CoW shop), CMs ? when we have all champion skins the things to purchase from the GW Shop are just scraps. and expensive.
  • A. That’s an interesting thought, I will make sure to bring it up with the team.

12. Tie rankings in ToE are decided randomly

  • Q. Regarding ToE, with the new Fusion a lot of players are able to get max score on stages and lords.
    A lot of discussions are going around on how the players are ranked when scores are the same.
    So far we have figured out that defending team strength on the day is a factor, but some teams are the same in strength, totems/fusion, so what determines players rank in the tournament?
    Can you please ask the developers the criterias for ranking and give us the priotirized list on how the rank is determined, like f.ex:
    1. Strength of def team
    2. Total Titan  strength
    3. Time of the day doing ToE
    4. etc….
    Thanks I know a lot of people would appreciate to know how this works!
  • A. As far as I managed to figure it out – it’s more of a random distribution if everyone has the same number of points.

13. Ongoing issues with cheaters in ToE

  • Q. TOE WEB:
    Week after week, script users are getting stronger, and you’re just watching! If more than one player got max points, you need to change something!!!!
    manages to reach the maximum, you should rework this mode very quickly! This is the final reason for my friends, including myself, to leave the game if things don’t improve!
    The game sucks at this point!!!!
  • A. I totally understand how frustrating this feels. If you spot anyone abusing scripts, please report it, that really helps. We’re doing our best to handle such cases and keep things fair.

14. Concerns about cheating guilds in Asgard

  • Q. How long will you tolerate Asgard’s illegal activities?
    Have you given up?
    In the case of the Osh Raid, they auto-battle hundreds of times to achieve the highest score.
    Those interested will know which guilds do this.
    The same goes for the Phantom Raid.
    They fight hundreds of battles with five teams.
    On average, the total damage from all five teams is about 200-300 million.

    If you proceed with the Cornell team normally (1 critical hit per manual attack) in the Phantom Raid without using cheat programs, you will inflict approximately 300-400 million damage. Including this team, five other teams can inflict 400-500 million damage.

    However, while no guild member has inflicted 300-500 million damage,
    there are guilds that inflict an average of 200-300 million damage (100% cheating software).

    If you know anything about raids, you’ll completely agree with me.

    If you pay attention, you can see which guilds are engaging in illegal activities.

    In the case of Osh Raid, you can defeat the Osh boss twice with just a few hundred Cornell team auto-battles.

    I’m sick of even writing this now.
    How on earth do you run this?
    Is there no solution? If so, this game has no future. It’s doomed.
  • A. We take cheating very seriously and keep improving our detection tools. Please report any suspicious activity to our support so we can investigate it.

15. The charge amount for Valkyrie’s Favor differs from what’s shown on screen

  • Q. You said that this has been raised. Two weeks now it has been overcharging and nothing has been done
    Please sort this issue out. (whited over the payment details)
    Why should I be paying more than what is advertised?
    This is potentially overcharging anyone with a VF subscription and is very shady!
  • A. I will send this over to our support team, thank you!
    I will follow up if I get any updates.

16. Game graphics are becoming overly intense

  • Q. I really don’t understand why the game gets more and more bloated with unnecessary graphic effects, like this huge aura and stones hovering arond etc. The game already has a hard time running on some devices, esp. mobile ones (ipad!), esp. as i cannot lower graphic settings like in basically any other game.

    The only good thing in this case is that Phyto is barely ever alive. But maybe you consider not doing similar stuff in future content. Thank you.
  • A. Yeah, totally get what you mean, some effects can be a bit much. Our game is optimised for PС first, but I will bring this up to the team.

17. Methods for improving overall software quality

  • Q. can we please finally have a change log, like any other software product and game has? which includes all user facing changes which are happening? this is part of software development standards for many decades. please.
    am i asking too much? its not much effort. you know the reasons for any change you do, so please list all the user facing things in an online changelog and make adding an entry for every deployed change a part of your change DoD (Definition of Done).
  • A. Thanks for bringing this up. Right now, we try to highlight most important updates.
    We’re discussing internally how to make update communication more transparent and consistent, including what’s feasible to publish for every release.
