October Events

Hey Guardians! Here is the event schedule for October, check it out. But, some of the closest and biggest events just could not fit there, so let’s talk about them too:
- Autumn Festival starts on October 1st — celebrate the fall with some Harunian Brew!
- The end of the month will get delightfully eerie with the Spooky Festival event!
- The new iteration of Area of Conquest is coming, the one that will bring small, but meaningful changes and quality-of-life tweaks. Stay tuned, as we will share more news next week!
- And that’s not all, as a truly titanic adventure awaits us in October.

1. Cascade + Amira combo has a drawback — it sometimes fails to defeat Rufus

- Q. Attention CMs bug with the new hero Cascade found. His 1st ability Hydrokinesis is supposed to prevent hero regeneration, in particular it prevents Rufus’ regeneration ability meaning you can kill him with Magic or Pure dmg, as you would by previously having Morrigan in the team. You can see the skill description on the image provided
However, when Cascade’s Tidal Wave ability moves the enemy hero in this case Rufus, so he is positioned either amongst or behind your own team, the 1st ability cloud remains stuck in the center of the arena as you can see on the image here and this means Rufus can no longer be killed with anything other than Physical dmg.
I would suggest altering the skill Hydrokinesis so that it is “recast” if the heroes are moved, especially if it’s just 1 hero left, as this is otherwise both a bugged skill and a less useful one than it’s intended purpose. I added the video of this occurring for you to send to Support, Nexters, whoever has control of fixing this. Thanks.

This isn’t actually a bug, but more of an interaction between Cascade and Amira. Cascade’s ultimate always targets the center of the enemy team, but Amira’s fourth skill summons a spirit that temporarily counts as an enemy unit. Because of that, the center point shifts, and Cascade’s rain ends up landing slightly off to the side instead of directly over Rufus. So even though it looks like Rufus is under the rain, technically he isn’t — which is why his regeneration still works. Without Amira’s spirit on the field, Cascade’s ult would likely hit Rufus normally and block his healing.
Basically, it’s all working as intended — just a rare case where Amira’s skill changes how Cascade’s ability targets.
2. Tournament of Power is heavily disadvantageous for European players

- Q. Hello everyone. Another tournament of power has ended, and once again, a bad taste remains!! Why? Because unfortunately, only those who keep track of the score until the end win. This event could just as easily have lasted an hour, and it probably would have ended the same way. Being in first place 99% of the time doesn’t help. Currently, the event ends at 3-4 AM in Europe. A normal person is asleep by then. I’d like to request that the end of this event be considered regularly moving the end of the event by an hour. This would give other time zones a better chance of winning. Another option is to stack prizes like in the “Grand Arena.” Then, from day one, rankings and prizes would be counted. The current system discourages me from playing with every tournament of power! I’ll wait until the new year; maybe something will change, or I’ll make a New Year’s resolution of my own! - A. Thank you for the suggestion! As far as I understand, current event timings are optimised for the largest share of players across time zones.

3. Speed Boosters are obtainable only through limited sources
- Q. CMs the update to Area of Conquest needs revising unless they want players to ignore the game mode
Less intense (but more strategic)! – We’ve increased the action points cap to 20 and extended the recovery time to 12 minutes for each. So full recovery will take 4 hours. Now the event won’t require quite as much of your time and attention.
^ This actually makes it worse, Free to play players are less involved now because they’re being encouraged to buy time boosts or sit out the event
Updated Speed Booster! – Instead of speeding up the Action Points recovery time, the Speed Booster will now instantly restore 10 Action Points!
^ This is terrible, you’ve just basically made a greedy move where whales can move endlessly and it’s actually going to take up more of their time, while making sure that Free to play players, simply cannot compete and won’t bother trying
– Settlement Clash! – Winning battles over captured settlements now grants additional Superior Coins
^ This is going to be exploited, A LOT. Why bother defending settlements when it’s more profitable to stand next to it out of range of the attacker, so they have to take the settlement, then you instantly capture it back for extra points. Even more abusable if you form an alliance with another guild in the match and simply trade the settlement back n forth over and over again. Really bad idea to add this….
The rest of the update is fine, Battle logs, improved Quest requirements, great job. But this is a cash grab making the moves endless for anyone who wants to spend and will use up MORE of their time not less. You’ve made it less strategic by far, rather than more tactical like Nexters seems to think.
And what everyone REALLY WANTS, is better match making and for the bigger guilds, to not face the exact same opponents every single match….
Add to this that the rewards are pretty rubbish and nobody’s gonna want to play it, too time consuming, not worth the effort.

About the Speed Boosters. They will only appear in quests and Battle Pass, and can’t be directly purchased anymore, unlike before. That change was intentional to avoid turning the feature into pay-to-win, everyone can now earn them equally through gameplay.
We’ll be watching how things go during the next launch and gathering your feedback to see what works best and what might still need fine-tuning.
- Q. Cos Instead of the revamped Speed Booster, you could also just offer to buy Ranking points for both Emeralds and Money. That would be a more direct way of “pay to win”. Because if i buy Speed Potions, i would have to use them and do moves and battles, which is just too time consuming. Even tho it has basically the same effect.

4. Point acquisition bug in the Area of Conquest (AoC)
- Q. Potential bug @ nexters AoC, for whatever reason I loaded up on my alt account for AoC, and it already had 160k points. This might be because I have not played on that account since last AoC, so the points didn’t reset?
Either way, it is definitely something to raise. - A. Be sure to contact our support team so our technicians can check what might have gone wrong.
5. Questions about the reward contents in The Seer’s Game
- Q. what a joke
- A. I get your frustration, let me know which rewards you’d like to see in the Seer’s Game, and I will pass it along.
6. Timeout issue during Asgard boss battles

- Q. Nexters support response is correct but lacks nuance. If the Asgard boss fight server side timeout is exceeded and the game client does not report back for whatever reason, the game will rerun the whole fight on auto on the Server Side. Doesn’t matter what you have achieved to that point with manual play in the Client Side. The point is the game client has not reported back the result to the server within the timeframes so it just assumes it crashed and reruns the fight.
The actual issue is that they have set the server side timeout too low. It should be 5 mins instead of 3 mins. 3 mins is simply not enough time for manual play against Osh when you have heroes like Isaac spamming their ult non-stop and the game pauses momentarily for every ult animation. As a result I have seen many times when my manual fights with huge numbers get either cut short with lower damage or entirely overwritten by a low damage auto result. Very frustrating when you have spent 25M gold for that one fight.
This has been brought up by myself and others multiple times on the starboard ever since Asgard was released. Unfortunately it has been ignored by Nexters on every occasion. Nexters this is so easy to fix. Just change a single number from 3 mins to 5 mins and it is done. - A. Thank you for sharing this, I have added this to our feedback for the developers.
7. Exclusive rewards from the Maestro fight
- Q. CMs, i once before a couple of weeks suggest thing in starboard about do a new rewards in here for defeating maestro different levels like osh ones seeds rewards and things , plz pass it

8. Request to improve the Asgard UI and reduce unnecessary clicks

The current path to upgrade an item and the subsequent issue:
Click Guild.
Click Asgard.
Click Ascension Spire.
Click Upgrade (the button showing a value, e.g., 1,600,000).
The Problem
A window appears showing the missing Crystal. In this window, the only options are Guild Raids and Astral Seer.
The core issue: There is no “Inventory” button that allows me to jump directly to my inventory, specifically to the “Crystal Choice Chest” (for Radiant/Shining Crystals), where I can select the needed Crystals.
For example: If 55 Crystals are missing, I have to take them from the chest and then return to the upgrade screen.
The Problematic Process (Current Clicks)
Currently, the process requires too many steps:
To get the Crystals: I have to go back ×5 steps, then click again in the Inventory to select them.
To use them: I have to click ×5 steps again to return to the Ascension Spire to use the Crystals.
Total Clicks: ≈11 clicks to complete the process.
The Proposed Solution (UX Improvement)
Proposal: A new “Inventory” button should be added to the missing-Crystal window.
This button should directly link to the “Crystal Choice Chest” or the Crystal section of the inventory.
This would allow players to select the needed Crystals and jump directly back to the Ascension Spire screen to use them.
Example from the current interface: Similar to how clicking “Astral Seer” allows me to immediately return (only 2 clicks, instead of 11). - A. Thanks for such a detailed description. Same as above – adding this to other QoL suggestions, appreciate it.
9. Having multiple types of random crystals feels meaningless
- Q. What’s more these stupid items should be removed and just give us the real resrouces directly. The only reason for their existance is to make us do a million pointless extra clicks
- A. Same here, adding this as well.
10. The Soul Casket’s usability also needs improvement
- Q. erm can we have qol update on these too?
- A. I’m not sure I totally get what you mean specifically, was it about the Soul Casket? In that case, yes I will pass it along!
11. Dungeon settings should be remembered automatically
- Q. I would like to have a memory function of 5x speed in the dungeon set once, it will remain until I change it again.
- A. Same as my answer above, adding this to the QoL wishlist for our devs.
12. UI and UX need to be unified across all modes
- Q. if you hold down on your mouse on that kind of interface (glyphs too) it keeps adding to it and gets faster
what would be really nice is one consistent interface for everything where you are trying to spend N of something. Right now there’s a bunch of variations, some prompt when you spend emeralds, some don’t, some have a toggle, most don’t, some are a slider, some are 1-10-100, some are click or hold down mouse … like just choose one (preferably the best one) and implement it across the entire game - A. Thanks a lot for your feedback! It sounds reasonable, and I will make sure it’s shared with the team. Can’t say when exactly the team will pick it up, but it’s been noted.
13. QoL updates are being implemented gradually in order of priority
- Q. its kinda crazy hero wars is this many years old and you still cant go into battle replay and copy the team+pets set up to quickly copy it to battle simulation for max testing etc <.<
- A. We’re collecting all QoL suggestions and passing them to the dev team. Can’t say when exactly something might get added, but we’re doing our best to bring in the most useful changes.
14. Nexters might not have a centralized system to manage player requests
- Q. Not sure if CM is updated with those requests from us. Guess we should make a list of request and share with her here so that she’s on the same page including that cow disease (draw).
- A. Yes, feel free to share and please give me context where you feel like I’m missing some
15. The next monthly survey is scheduled for early November
- Q. Btw where is the monthly survey to find out how players feel about the events?

Really curious how the number will look like for Seer’s game, totem fusion, and now (would be) new AoC changes.
Even the mess from July summer fest and August Lara event are totally ignored by them now (of course, when they ever truly be responsible and fix things properly?).
Surely nothing will happen. Pity the people who got cheated a lot at the end of lara event. - A. There will be an October monthly survey, most likely at the start of November.
