  • Alongside the usual activities, there will also be a creative contest — a fun chance for all artistic Guardians who love to share a bit of their winter inspiration. More details are coming soon!
  • The main celebration of the season — Winterfest — will return with gift exchanging, the Letter to Winter Claus, festive quests, and long-standing traditions.
  • The Mysterious Island will also make its appearance this season, arriving with a fresh winter twist — explore its snowy paths and uncover unique rewards hidden beneath the frost.

Official Message: Winter Season Begins in Dominion!

  • The holiday spirit is rolling in early this year! Starting today, you’ll see winter decorations across Dominion, bringing a warm and festive atmosphere to your adventures. 
  • Winterfest will launch later this month, but we wanted to set the mood in advance — so the whole month of December feels like a celebration, filled with fun activities and small surprises along the way.

  • It’s a small preview of the celebrations ahead and a great way to start collecting holiday bonuses early!

Collect Baubles, Earn Rewards
  • Throughout December, you’ll be able to collect Winterfest Baubles — the familiar holiday currency returning this year!
  • They’ll appear as rewards in major events like Area of Conquest, Seer’s Game or the Tournament of Power.
  • You’ll be able to spend your Baubles once Winterfest officially begins — so keep collecting them to get ready for the big celebration!
Keeping Winterfest Fair
  • Winterfest is always a special time in Dominion — a moment for guilds to come together, share gifts, and enjoy the season.
  • This year, we want to strengthen the guild spirit of Winterfest and ensure every Guardian can enjoy the event on equal terms, so a few temporary restrictions will be in place starting December 21 and lasting through the end of the event:
    – Players won’t be able to leave their guilds,
    – Gifts can only be sent to current guildmates.
  • These changes ensure that all Winterfest gifting stays among your guildmates — so the celebration remains fair and enjoyable for everyone.
  • We’ll share more detailed information about these changes a bit later!

December’s Hero of the Month: Cascade

[Hero Wars] Cascade Command the tide now
  • A new mage who pairs exceptionally well with Crista, who has become the core of Magic Teams after her rework.
  • However, Cascade does not synergize well with Amira, which limits viable team compositions.
  • Uniquely for a mage, he is capable of defeating Rufus.
  • Extremely powerful as an offensive unit.
  • Isaac is a well-known counter, so Cascade should not be relied on for defensive setups.

1. New Event Information Missing from the Calendar

  • Q. Don’t see a mention of a new titan or hero or TMNT return.
  • A. Our event schedule only has regular/recurring events. I can’t confirm anything at this point, so please keep checking our news and announcements.

2. Content Releases Feel Too Fast This Year

  • Q. I want to say smth about the game – we all know that December is the month with most of the money spending… till now. This year for this month will be with less spending for me  – and not only for December. Why? Because i am tired to have a new hero each 2nd month. And as i see – we will have a new titan too often too. And adding these new titans skins… i am sorry – but i am working not for Nexter$ only. I am not as old player (“only” 2 years of playing here) – that i can spend money only for these new titans, skins or new heroes – i still have unfinished totems, artifacts, ascensions and etc for my titans and heroes i already have. So – please – do not push us as much because u will lose us soon. This game was funny about an year ago. Its too hard for most of us now. And yes – i can skip these new buyings but playing in a guild that is 1st in its server – i need to keep my competitive lvl not because of me – and for all my guildmates. I already lost most of my friends here who were really big spenders (i mean – they were real whales) for this year. And as i see – with all these changes, with all these new heroes, with all these “this time the shop will stay 1 day, next time – will not”, “this time – spend all special coins, next time – do not” and etc. – sorry – but most of us who are giving u our money – we arent as young and stupid as u think. Please, stop acting and doing us to feel like fools because we are ur money, Nexter$!

3. Winterfest Details Will Be Announced Once Ready

  • A. Can’t spoil anything yet, but all the Winterfest info will start showing up on our socials soon, a bit closer to the event. Hang in there, we’ll share everything as soon as possible 🙂

4. Guild Lock Will Be Active During Winterfest

  • Q. I’d like to know what changes will be made to the Winter Festival event next month? Is it confirmed that guild locking will begin during the Winter Festival? Has the specific locking time been determined?

5. Cyber Vault Grand Prize Felt Underwhelming

  • Q. 30 catalysts would look way better in place of that 3k elemental tournament coins. Do you guys think so?
    I think the most that Sandra could do would probably be conveying the message from us to the devs that we think those items are too minimal for us to regard as Grand Prizes. I’m sure she will covey that to the devs. We like you

6. Emerald City as a Black Friday Replacement Event

  • Q. I’ve been playing this game for 6 years! In previous years, your Cyber-Con (Black Friday events) always offered discounts — whether it was Hero Artifact Chests, Ascension events, Titan Artifact Spheres, Titan Summoning Spheres, or even Sanctuary Pet Eggs. But this year, there were absolutely no discounts at all!!

    Earlier this year, I also suggested adding discounts for Tower chests during Black Friday, but it seems my feedback was not considered. And regarding the shops — including the Tower Shop, Friendship Shop, and Exotica Shop, but now the year is almost over and nothing has been adjusted.

    Additionally, the quality of the Emerald City event this time is truly disappointing. I really want to know if you are actually taking players’ suggestions seriously.

    I also asked before if you could provide contact information for your CEO or upper management so that players can share feedback directly, but you never responded.
    What exactly are you afraid of?👀

    Honestly, this year’s Black Friday had absolutely no Black Friday spirit at all.
  • A. I get why this felt disappointing. There weren’t the usual discounts this year, since the focus was shifted toward Emerald City instead.

    I’ll pass your feedback along. Like I said above, it’s clear that the event landed with some mixed reactions.

7. What VIP 15 Means in Emerald City

  • Q. So, not a money grab?
    IMO, even players that spend $10,000 to $50,000 (yes… real numbers) on this game should fear the public announement of a VIP 15 cost-to-enter event.  Because anything that kills the game will kill their past investment.

    But seriously, is this the first ever pay to PLAY rather than pay to WIN EVENT?
    It is certainly the first to require more than “mere hundreds” of dollars to play.

    Keep in mind that spending $2500 or whatever for VIP 15 might just be setup for a rug pull!
    Next month they might impliment VIP 20 or VIP 500 with the VIP 15 benefits moved to the new level.

    And by “pay”, the rule of thumb for VIP 15 is over $2500.
    Cheapest is closer to $1500, but only be getting some really bad values and/or Island Ticket. 
    Except as shown in the past, Island Ticket can be a major backstab as you don’t know what will be on the next Island.

    Note: Event is announced concurrent with increased censorship by CM’s. 

    Rule of thumb has been that on average, VIP 15 is $2548.
    Hypothetically, maybe VIP 15, closer to $1300 might be more reasonable as a “starting investment” in this game.
    As opposoed to $40-$80 for a full blown AAA game elsewhere.

    So some people might think that an event ANNOUNCED as needing that type of spending might be a mistake.
    And a CM to suddenly delete message the day that is announced might be very bad for the game.
    This is an issue where Nexter ought to welcome discussion.   Even, arguably, lax the rules under circumstances rather than drive people away by tightening them.

    Curtaining critisism given this game’s past could kill it entirely.

    Also keep in mind that there is a small profit margin on this game over advertising costs.  (Pretty sure.  Hope I’m not muted for saying what I can extrapolate from the official reports I’ve read.)
    Meaning that even a small tweak could make or break this game.

    And that censoring feedback over an insult not aimed at a specific person, but decsions(s) made by a group of people collectively (Nexters) could easily make or break the game.
  • A. I get where you’re coming from, but just to clarify Emerald City isn’t a “VIP-15 only” and does not require VIP 15 to participate.

    There’s a basic track available to everyone, and the VIP track just adds extra rewards for those who already have VIP-15. You can still play and progress through all 40 levels without it.

    As for feedback and criticism: it’s absolutely welcome. We want players to talk about things openly, even when the conversations are tough. The only thing we act on is when messages cross boundaries, become bladinently toxic, not because someone criticises Nexters or the game.

    If folks feel like it’s too pay-heavy, I’ll pass that feedback along.

8. No Reason to Spend Money on XP Potions

  • Q. they lock skins behind pay-walls for more than a year
    they replaced all the good f2p events with a greedy new terrible version (elemental synergy,weaving patterns)
    they downgrade the mysterious island rewards and at the same time they made it more costly to reach the towers
    they changed events like titan brawl to the emerald coin format so that the rewards are less.
    they merged hero emerald coin event with the monthly hero brawls to reduce rewards
    they removed good f2p events like..the cross server pvp event,scorching fire or w/e it was called etc.
    they HUGELY downgraded the ”grand prizes” in events like cyber-con
    they increased the prize in tickets + the amount of money/buff u need in hero events in order to get the totem
    i’m sure i am forgetting other stuff as well..but what good did they do,except the hives feature in summerfest?
    and now we get this emerald city ”event” that everyone knows it’s terrible,and to be honest i dont mind,i don’t care if there are stupid events for dumb people alongside with normal events,but i just wanna to point out
    how ”delusional” (or better how idiots they think players are) that they ”believe” that the rewards for spending so many emeralds + buying a 27 eu ticket are good.
    Like…yeah…EXP POTIONS,thank you,i’m sure every VIP15 player out there is thinking how much in need they are for exp potions
  • A. I hear you. It seems like Emerald City landed with mixed reactions, and it’s clear you’re not happy with the direction of recent events.

    I’ll share this with the team, feedback, even if it is critical, is important to us.

9. Is the Game Becoming More Pay-to-Win?

  • Q. I am not asking for changes anymore. Its pointless. The direction of the game is crystal clear.
  • A. I’m sorry to hear you’ve reached this point. I’ll pass your feedback along — we do want the game to feel better for everyone.

10. New Cybernetic Skins Remain Pay-Locked Again This Year

  • Q. Which 2 heros will get a new cybernetic skin? Well i cannot see,they are behind a paywall
  • A. 😹 😹 😹  Good news, the skins have now been revealed, I hope you enjoy them at least 🙂

11. Polaris Cybernetic Skin Now Unlocked

  • Q. CM these skins are paywalled for a year now…. Can we please have them for skin stones after the current Cyber-con ends? I think, it’d be about time, please… ?
  • A. Let me clarify this with the team. I’ll update you as soon as I have more information.

12. This Tab Seems Abandoned — No New Skins for Years

  • Q. the whole GW shop needs an update
  • A. Thank you, I will pass this along.

13. Core Shops Haven’t Changed in Over Five Years

  • Q. All the standard shops need updating!  Not just GW shops!  Its been over 5 years!
  • A. Thanks for this addition, will share this with the team.

14. Players Want an FPS Limiter Option

  • Q. Feature request: a fps limiter

    Some scripts offer this. It only takes a few lines of code to implement, yet it decreases the cpu load by two. Makes your mobile/notepad users a favor.
  • A. Great suggestion, I will pass this along for sure!

Note: An FPS limiter reduces the rendering load on the CPU and GPU by restricting the video frame rate (the number of image updates per second) as part of the game’s graphics settings.

15. Why the Game Feels Less Fun Lately

  • Q. One of the reasons the game is becoming increasingly boring is that every time a new event arrives, the first questions players ask themselves are:
    “How much do I have to spend this time?”
    “When is the most cost-efficient moment to spend?”
    “If I don’t pay now, will I lose the chance to get this item forever?”

    When these become the main concerns before even thinking about gameplay, it’s hard for the game to stay fun.

16. End-Game Content Lacks Excitement

  • Q. Totally agree. Another indicator of the game becoming increasingly boring is when you are telling to yourself every day/3days/week:

    – “Lets do the 5 CoW attacks quickly, so i am done with it, since it doesnt matter anways, as its just another draw.”
    – “Lets do a quick raid-all 7 stages in ToE so i am done with it, because it only comes down to RNG luck on defense vs lords anyways”
    – “Lets just quickly do 5 Asgard boss battles so i am done with it, as i cant compete with script cheaters anyways”

    When these are main main thoughts on the relevant (end-) game content, something about the game is clearly lacking …

17. Players Request Increased Totem Fusion Gains

  • Q. Would it ever be possible to make some updates to the shops that gives us chances to buy stuff for left over soul stones.

    Like for example the Titan Soul Shop, since you’ve added totem fusion, you could add the ability to buy fusion fragments with those coins in there. Or even in the Tournament of Elements shop, the whole fusion totem is such a gamble anyway that it’s going to take forever to get anything higher than fusion 3 on anything, and with such low amounts from events some of us are stuck with fusion 1 for the longest time.

    Or offer totem fusion fragments for the weekly ToE – it can be like 10 fragments or something, I just feel like the scarcity of this resource is the worst thing in the game, and the fact that once you finally do get it, it can 95% of the time fail, which is really bad odds for something so hard to come by.
  • A. Also noted, thank you for the suggestion!

Note: The claim that there’s a 95% chance of failure likely stems from the notion that there’s only about a 5% chance of generating a Level 5 out of 100 attempts. However, since Level 4 may be preferable in some cases and these enhancement requirements are easier than those of the totem they’re often measured against, many paying users have already completed their upgrades.

18. Purchases Being Charged in USD Despite Local Currency Settings

  • Q. So, it has been roughly TWO MONTHS since this issue has been raised, and nothing has been done about it. It has been brought to your attention 4 times on the starboard, and still nothing has been changed. I have done a lot of research, and this practice is ILLEGAL in the UK, which is what uses the GBP currency.

    – So, why hasn’t Nexters fixed this?
    – Is it sheer incompetence? Most likely.
    – Is it greed, farming the extra money from all the people paying in GBP who actually use the VF Subscription services? Most likely. Sure the price difference is mere pence, but across multiple thousands of players, that racks up nicely for nexters.
    – Do Nexters even care about this? Most likely not.
