  • February arrives in Dominion!
  • This month, the stars seem a little closer, emotions a little stronger, and the winds from the East carry a festive touch.
  • Expect regular events, competitive challenges, and a few surprises scattered throughout February! 

Skin Event Announcement

  • Two Seasonal skin events are scheduled to be held in February this year as well
  • The event format may change, but new related skins are expected to be implemented
  • Many new heroes were implemented at the end of last year and are performing well in the current environment. It’s highly likely these heroes will receive enhancements

Will Tidus Be Implemented?

Tydus
  • The implementation of Tidus, a new Water Titan, has been hinted at. Following the recent Earth and Fire Titans, he is expected to be a summoner-type Titan, potentially enabling Totem activation with only two Titans.
  • At present, Water-centered Titan compositions have seen limited use outside of “Nova Tank” setups. The arrival of Tidus could mark a major turning point, significantly reshaping the Water Titan meta.

New Barrier Patterns Implemented

  • Dual-Defense Boost: New barrier patterns have been added that simultaneously increase both Armor and Magic Defense.
  • Strategic Use: These patterns are expected to be used primarily in combination with existing Armor-focused patterns, enabling more defense-oriented setups than before.

Adventure Buff Icon Update

  • Visual Tweak: The Adventure buff icons—which have long been unpopular within the community—have received a minor visual update.
  • Persistent Design: Despite this tweak, the underlying design concept remains largely unchanged.
  • The Lingering Question: This update has once again raised a familiar question among players—why does this particular icon continue to use a visual style that feels so out of place compared to the rest of the game’s aesthetic?

About

  • Electra is a unique tank whose durability scales primarily with Health rather than traditional defensive stats.
  • In the current meta, she is widely regarded as one of the top two tank options, alongside Galahad.
Meta Performance and Positioning
  • That said, the current environment is heavily dominated by Krista-led magic teams, which are often flexible enough to perform well even without a dedicated tank.
  • Furthermore, Electra is highly specialized for magic-based compositions and can be relatively difficult to utilize effectively in defensive setups.
Future Potential
  • Despite these niche limitations, Electra remains a high-tier hero even with a limited number of skins.
  • With additional skins now confirmed, her performance ceiling is expected to rise significantly, making her an even more formidable presence in the competitive landscape.

  • Q. Is nexters staff allowed to play? I mean that you have some kind of advantage over others with unreleased informations…
  • A. Exactly, we have to be in touch with the game to understand the community, their requests and concerns.

2. Potential Pricing Bug With La Mort Card in the Event Shop

  • Q. there’s a bug in the shop, La Mort Card cost twice less medallions than it supposedly should, developper’s slipping finger
  • A. I’ll check on this

3. Cascade’s Resurrection Block Interaction With Fluffy Explained

  • Q. Why isn’t Cascade blocking the resurrection effect of Fluffy ?
    Isn’t this a bug it clearly states that ‘cannot be resurrected’ how am I getting this wrong ?

  • A. Hi folks, thanks for the reporting the potential bug, discussions and replays, they helped a lot.
    I checked with out team and after the review it looks like the Fluffy–Cascade interaction is intended and comes down to timing. Much like discussed above, even in this replay you can see that it does work correctly if timed right.
    TL:DR, from the replays we checked, Cascade does block Fluffy correctly when timed right.

4. Possible Pricing Bug With 24-Coin Hero Cards in the Stall

  • Q. Did someone else notice that sometimes hero fragment prices are wrong / too high in the hero stall? I suppose it happens when the game rolls a slot for a pet that you already have, and therefore subsequently substitutes it with a hero – without adjusting the (pet fragment) price.
    Maybe devs will say this is by design, since you have a higher chance at obtaining a hero (“more slots”) – but to me it still feels “off”.
  • A. Interesting, not sure I’ve seen this before, let me check with the team. Also if anyone else encountered this, please let me know.
  • Q. It currently seems easy enough to reproduce while the event is still running. Go to any chapter (1 is fine), and battle until you unlock pets in the stall (“Development Shop level 5”). Get as many pets as you can – possibly rerolling and making use of the -50% offers. Once enough pets are accumulated, you should start seeing those 24 stall coin cards pop up…

    Forwarded this to the team, they’re looking into it, but initially it looks like a bug.

5. Differences Between Fluffy’s Gift Options Explained

  • Q. Did you expect the Baalthazar gift was going to be more coin and less energy whem you voted for a gift?
    It certainly doesn’t seem like the coins to level up the librarian skin was the more demonic part of the gift. So I’m guessing they were both going to get skin coin, and it’s just the ratio of Enegy vs. Valor was the different.
    But maybe the CM’s can let us know what Fluffy’s gift was going to be. I know I’m curious. 😀
  • A. I can’t tell you exactly what it was, we do need some secrets 🐑
    But it did not have skin coins, I can confirm that

6. High-Spending Veteran Player Feedback on Event Restrictions and Incentives

  • Q. I know there are few like me, and even fewer with problems like these, but still… Last week, I levelled up my last fusion to rank 5, getting the maximum possible total Titan Power, and recently, after finishing the event on Fluffy, I decided to help a guildmate by gifting him a sphere with a totem fragment that I absolutely didn’t need. But I wasn’t allowed to do this because that player already has all the fragments (but! He doesn’t have full fusions). With this action, you’ve rendered many paid events useless for me (even though I wouldn’t mind buying something, but why do it now?). If you think that by doing this (restriction) you will increase the amount of cash spend from that player, I have to disappoint you – it will not change at all! But you’ve significantly reduced my spendings, for nothing. And this IS what upsets me. HeroWars is a commercial project (no matter what anyone says), and your reluctance to take my money is deeply discouraging. Yes, I agree that there aren’t many veteran players with incredibly powerful accounts, but that hasn’t stopped us from being loyal customers.
    CM, please convey to the developers that we also need a purpose for our investments. Give to those who have already leveled up everything (in titans) the opportunity to gift spheres to those who haven’t yet. Create entertainment for us, like was before: spend lots of money + litte time and be top! (And no, you can’t sell us Emerald City — we have this items in stock in huge quantities!) We want to show off — hard-to-get avatars, frames… But again, tournaments not about us, and CoW rewards hasn’t updated for many seasons. (This is part of a larger message, please read it in its entirety)
  • A. Thanks for sharing this. That’s an interesting idea, I think giving long-term players ways to use their existing resources and have goals is a good idea.

  • Q. Hi CM, 2 questions about the new item “Exclusive Skin Coin”
    • 1. Will this item remain in the inventory after the event ends, or will it be converted?
    • 2. Will the same item be used for other skins of new heroes, or will they have a specific Skin Coin? (I ask this because for the new titans we use the same Seal of Nature)
  • A. Hello, like other players replied – it will be similar to the Lara Croft event skins. It will be in your inventory until it converts and at the same time the skin will become upgradable with regular skin stones. I can’t say any dates at this moment.
    And as for other skins, it’s possible, but I wouldn’t be counting on saving them for later, as they will be converted some time in the future.

12. Player Request to Improve Guarantee Mechanics in New Hero Events

  • Q. CM – please ask the developers to consider this enhancement for future new hero events – if there is going to be an exclusive skin and that exclusive skin requires the new exclusive skin coin to level up, once you hit 6-star of the new hero and no longer need any soul stones for that hero, have the bad gift protection of the Altar of Fate switch over to guaranteed exclusive skin coins instead of hero soul stones

  • A. Thank you for the question. I have some good news, this will be updated at some point soon, but I can’t say exactly when.

15. Emerald Spending Requirements for Emerald City Progression

  • Q. Do we already know that Emerald City emerald spending quests will stay linear? and if superlinear, then how? so no surprises coming with higher amounts of spending needed towards the end?

    CM can you please clarify? if you want me to start spending on the event i need to know:
    • how many emeralds i will need to spend to reach the levels 30+.
    • if i can reach the final stage if i spend only for – lets say – outland chests or is there a max amount if i redo only this? and how expensive will 1 level get then?
      so: How many emeralds do i have to spend in order to reach level 30
    • by a balanced spending and by spending only for 1 thing and redoing 1 quest only.
      others may want to know for reaching level 25.
  • A. The progression is linear until level 15, and after that at points there is a raise in the amount of points needed per level. Also, the total progression does differ between the basic track and VIP 15, but only after level 25 due to VIP 15 version being prolonged and having additional milestones with additional rewards.
    Some community guides have already mapped this out if you want to know the exact cost per level.
    There is also no limit in terms of individual quests, you can keep progressing levels via any quest you’d prefer, even if you use one for all your activities 🙂

  • A. Hey hey,
    Survey results were quite interesting. New event speed is pretty split with the slight leaning towards enjoying the new pacing.
    And new boosters are enjoyed by most players, so we’ll very likely make no changes to those.
    Because of that, we’re not rushing to roll it back, while acknowledging that the previous version also had a lot of supporters.
    There are no significant changes coming, at least not for a couple of next events, we’re keeping an eye on how things perform, but nothing significant is coming in the next releases.

19. Explanation of Reward Differences in Tournament of Elements

  • Q. CM what do you mean by : there is a different number of players for ToE rewards. Doesn’t web have way more players? Shouldn’t the rewards be higher then?
    It would make sense if you have said one of the following:
    • 1. When the rewards were designed, Facebook had a much larger player base, and the structure was never adjusted afterward (though it might be revisited in the future).
    • 2. Facebook does not award rewards to players ranked 1000+, so the total amount of emeralds distributed ends up being the same , depending on how many players participate on each platform.
  • A. Fair question. Web and Facebook are separate ecosystems: different servers, different player pools, and they don’t compete with each other directly. So even if the reward numbers look very different, it doesn’t translate into an advantage.
    The current ToE reward structure was designed a long time ago, when the platforms had very different player bases and competitive environments. I will share the feedback with the team, though there are no plans to change it right now.
