The number of Energy Crystals shown reflects what is required to unlock Buffs in the Workshop. To obtain a Totem, you’ll need at least 790 Energy Crystals.

How to proceed with the chapters

• Each chapter includes seven minion battles, followed by a boss battle. (as well as an Archdemon battle)
• The main rewards are obtained by defeating the boss; minion battles do not provide rewards.
• If you lose a minion battle three times, you must restart the chapter from the beginning.
• You can retry the boss battle as many times as you like, but if your team is ineffective, you’ll still need to restart the chapter.
• In this event, losing simply means retrying. As long as you have time to play, you can keep progressing. However, starting in Chapter 3, you’ll need to purchase a certain number of buffs to continue. Chapter 7 is essentially pay-to-win.
• You can only use Heroes that you’ve collected from the stalls. To max out a hero, you need to collect them seven times.
• You can only use Pets that you’ve collected from the stalls.
• It’s generally more effective to focus on collecting seven copies of a few key heroes than to spread your efforts across many different ones.
• The later chapters are significantly more difficult and can only be cleared with 250 buffs and a limited number of team setups.

Rule

Development Shop

• In the Stall, you collect and upgrade your team. In some chapters, heroes or titans will join you at the start.
• Lets collect more fragments by purchasing them with Stall coins.
• If you don’t like the current offers, press the refresh button.
• You can pin fragments so they dont disappear when the Stall refreshes. Remember: after each battle, the Stalls contents are updated automatically — dont forget to pin the heroes or titans you need.
• To learn more about a hero or titan, hover over or tap their card — a window with detailed information will open.
• To upgrade a hero or titan, collect their duplicates. The bottom of the card shows how many are needed for the next upgrade.
• You can always return to the Stall to purchase more heroes or titans.
• Progress through battles to reach the final fight. Win to move forward.
• You’ll need to complete 7 levels – each one harder than the last.
• Each level has a first-time completion reward.
• The shop automatically refreshes after each battle. If youre sure your current team cant win, reset and start again.

Selling System

This system allows you to sell back heroes and pets that you have already purchased.

• Full Liquidation Only: Partial selling is not possible. If you purchase more than you need, you must sell the entire quantity—including any surplus—which will then be converted back into coins.
• Buyback Efficiency: Items purchased at a 50% discount can be sold back for the exact amount you paid. This makes pre-purchasing or “stockpiling” discounted units a viable and risk-free strategy.
• Boss Counters: For stages where only the boss requires a specific counter team, you can use this system to rebuild your roster specifically for that fight.
• Tactical Flexibility: This system is especially effective against heroes like Isaac or Rufus, allowing you to rearrange your team composition before and after those specific stages.

Common Mistakes

• Over-optimizing for Short-term Needs:
  Because the selling system allows for quick resource reallocation, it’s easy to focus too narrowly on specific counters or immediate upgrades. This often results in insufficient overall team power and can stall long-term progression.
• Misunderstanding Real Efficiency:
  Although selling returns a large portion of your investment, repeatedly buying and selling forces frequent lineup refreshes. In practice, due to this overhead, the effective return on long-term development is closer to 30–40%, rather than a true “half-price” upgrade path.
• Overreliance on Selling:
  The selling system is an extremely powerful strategic tool, but relying on it too heavily can hinder overall growth. It excels at tactical adjustments, but it cannot carry you through an entire run or guarantee victory on its own.

Best Practice: Use selling for boss-specific counters or temporary adjustments, while maintaining a stable core team for long-term 

Development Shop Tips

Save your Stall Coins until your Stall Level increases

• At Levels 1–2, avoid spending coins on reloading—just use the team you’re given.
• At Level 3, the number of hero choices increases to eight, and the useless “?” cards disappear, making it much easier to target specific heroes.
• From Level 5 onward, pet selection becomes available.

Development Shop Reloading

• There’s a brief loading delay after reloading. Spamming the button may unintentionally consume coins for two reloads.
• If you have 33 or fewer coins remaining, be cautious—reloading could leave you without enough coins for key purchases. Unless you’re facing a boss, it’s usually better to wait.
• Reloading while many items are still locked limits your available choices and increases the chance of missing good options. Avoid reloading in this situation.

Development Shop Notes

• Without widescreen mode enabled, not all eight choices will be visible at once. Be sure to scroll to the right.
• Avoid purchasing +2 or +3 upgrades after collecting a hero six times—these become inefficient uses of coins.

Development Shop Costs

• +1: 12 coins
• +2: 33 coins (16.5 per level)
• +3: 50 coins (16.66 per level)
  → +1 upgrades offer the best value per coin.

Using Collected Heroes Effectively

• Effective hero choices may vary slightly depending on the stage.
• Heroes available from the start are generally easier to build and use throughout your run.

Follow Proven Team Compositions

• This site showcases several team builds that have successfully cleared Chapters 5 through 7.
• Using these proven strategies can help you clear difficult stages on your first attempt.

Bosses

• In each chapter, you can earn 270 Stall Coins from the seven regular fights, not including the boss fight.
• Boss encounters do not directly reward Stall Coins – you will only receive them as a completion reward for completing the entire chapter.

Battle with the Archdemon: 10th Anniversary Event

The Battle with the Archdemon is a special challenge introduced as part of the 10th Anniversary event in Hero Wars. It becomes available after defeating the boss in each stage.

You have one attempt to get a piece of cake and improve your Archdemon battle ranking.

Deal as much damage as possible to achieve the best position in the Archdemon battle ranking!

The ranking bonus depends on the chapter level. The higher it is the greater the bonus.

Daily Quests and Cake Pieces

Daily quests include collecting Holiday Cake pieces. For players primarily focused on completing these daily objectives, repeatedly clearing Stage 1 is generally sufficient.

• One Piece per Day: One cake piece can be obtained per day.  
• Catch-up Mechanic: Missed days can be recovered by continuing to play during the event period.

Knock pieces of cake out of the Archdemon on the adventure map.

Start any chapter and complete the first 7 battles.

Fight the Archdemon to get a piece of cake and ranking points.

Collect pieces daily to make the cake whole and earn rewards.

One day – one piece of cake. Missed a day? No problem – keep fighting and collect all the pieces you missed.

Ranking Rewards and Scores

The event features a cross-server ranking system with rewards that may include large amounts of Emeralds. Rankings are based on the highest score achieved during the event.

• Higher Scores: Stages such as Stage 6 and Stage 7 are commonly used when aiming for higher rankings.  
• Preparation: Upgrading the Amulet of Battle to higher levels is often important for improving performance.  
• Strategy: Available Talismans may differ between Stage 6 and Stage 7, so testing different combinations is recommended.

Battle with the Archdemon

Every time you complete a chapter you can fight the Archdemon. Attempts are unlimited. The Archdemon battle counts as an additional battle in the chapter.

Ranking score

Points are calculated from the damage dealt to the Archdemon and the chapter modifier. The higher the chapter level the bigger the modifier. Your ranking is based on your highest score achieved during the entire event.

Cake pieces and rewards

After defeating the Archdemon you get a reward and a piece of Holiday Cake. You can get only one piece of Holiday Cake per day. If you missed some days of the event you can collect all the pieces you missed in one day.

When Byrna’s Adventure ends participants in prize positions are rewarded accordingly.\n\nIf a player changes server during the event their ranking score will be reset.

Boosts and Talismans

In the Archdemon battle the boost from the workshop Relic is active. The effect of the Talisman obtained during the adventure is also active. Try different combinations of Heroes and talismans on the highest chapter available to you to improve your ranking score.

Ranking scores are affected by a stage-based modifier. Higher stages provide a larger bonus to the damage dealt.

Talisman

The Talisman system provides temporary buffs that can be selected upon entering a stage.

• Archdemon Battles: These buffs also apply to Archdemon battles after defeating the boss.
• Strategic Synergy: Choosing Talismans that synergize well is essential for optimizing performance.
• Official Recommendation: A combination of the Fury Talisman and a healer (such as Varna) is recommended to enhance combat effectiveness.

Talisman List

Stall Coin

• You start with 120 coins.
• Earn Seall Coins on the Event Battles.
• Used to recruit heroes from the event stalls.

Energy Crystal

• Earned from quest rewards, daily bonuses, and event bundles.
• Can be exchanged for Valor Coins and upgrading Relics.
• The exchange rate is boosted by a relic and the Tome of Greed.

Determine Priorities Based on the Main Quest

• The three types of relics, along with coin conversion, are the primary uses for Energy Crystals in this event.
  Among these, Relic 3 — the Amulet of Battle — is the most important, as it is essential for unlocking core content in the main quest.
• Once you’ve determined how many Energy Crystals are needed to complete your desired chapter, you can allocate any remaining Crystals to the other relics.
• For example, if your goal is to progress through as much of the main content as possible without spending money, you should aim for Chapter 5. In that case, the Amulet of Battle requires 320 Energy Crystals.
  On the other hand, if you plan to spend money and aim to obtain totems, your target becomes Chapter 7, where the Amulet of Battle requires 790 Energy Crystals.
• If you don’t intend to spend time on the event content, you can skip the Amulet of Battle entirely. In that case, you have two options:
  1. Collect Byrna Soul stones through the festival, or
  2. Skip collecting them altogether.
• As for coin conversion, you can handle it efficiently by converting any unused buff purchases on the final day.

If you’re worried about collecting enough Byrna Soul Stones, you’ll need to allocate a larger portion of your budget to upgrading Relics 1 and 2 early on.

Valor Coin

• Acquired by trading Energy Crystals, as well as through quest rewards, Event chapter rewards, daily bonuses, and occasional free giveaways.
• Used for the gacha at the Festival, where you can purchase Byrna’s Soul Stones.
• The exchange rate at the Festival is increased by one relic, the Grail of Generosity.

Glory Points

• Used to progress the Battle Pass during this event.
• Automatically applied when earned; not stored in inventory.
• Cannot be converted or used after the event ends.
• Initially, 100 points advance the Battle Pass, followed by 200 points, and finally 400 points at higher tiers.
• The value of Glory Points changes significantly depending on whether the Golden Ticket is purchased.

Sapphire Medallion

• Awarded as a jackpot reward by the Festival Gacha and guaranteed by the Star’s Path and Event Chapter Rewards.
• Can be spent in the Event Shop.
• The Event Shop is permanent, so you don’t have to spend it all during the event… yet there are consumption quests set.

Byrna Soul Stone

• Obtainable through the Festival Gacha via Valor Coins.
• Not available from Sapphire Medallion in the Event Store.
• If you miss it during this event, it won’t be available for a while, but it will eventually become unlockable again.

Byrna chooses freedom, even if she has to fight for it. Join her story, fight at her side, and bring a reason to celebrate back to Dominion. The Dominion celebration is coming up – with a cake worth fighting for.

Upgrade Stall Quest

The stall quest features the following:

Quest mindset

• This is the main questline of the event and shares its name.
  Progressing through event battles unlocks additional stages and content.
• Hero-strengthening quests grant temporary, event-specific buffs. While some quests involve less popular heroes, retreat training also counts, making them achievable for all players with sufficient playtime.
• Free-to-play players can advance through several chapters, although Totems cannot be obtained without spending money. Still, focusing on training Byrna remains a viable and rewarding objective.
• Finding the optimal buff purchase route may take some trial and error. A balanced approach is to play moderately during the week and dedicate more time on the weekend, when key chapters and quests become available.

Sub Tasks : Unleashing Power

Awaken the hidden potential within the hero. Strengthen their abilities and lay the foundation for future victories.

• 1. Receive the Gift of the Elements level for: Byrna (MAX 30)
• 2. Reach the Evolution level for: Byrna (MAX Star 6)
• 3. Promote your hero: Byrna (MAX Red)
• 4. Reach the 1st Artifact level: Byrna (MAX 80)
• 5. Level up the glyph: Byrna (MAX 150)
• 6. Upgrade any hero’s skin  (MAX 150)
• 7. Unlock an Ascension glyph in the Ascension Spire (MAX 30)
• 8. Reach the ability level totaling for: Byrna (MAX 400)

Quest mindset

• This optional questline runs alongside the main event, giving players the freedom to choose whether or not to participate.
  —it only affects the festival currency portion of the event.
  —Progress in this questline does not contribute to buff purchases or boss battles.
• This questline is not affected by event buffs, so for maximum efficiency, complete all quests for the required heroes before summoning Byrna.
• Completing this questline can help you collect Soul Stones. However, if you’re concerned about your ranking in the Power Tournament, you may consider intentionally limiting your power growth—though this approach may not be practical for all players.

Power-Limited Quest Completion Tips

• Level Glyphs only to low tiers
• Upgrade Artifacts, but keep their star rating at 1
• Adjust your upgrade priorities based on your goals—whether you’re optimizing for low power strategy or aiming for long-term growth

Recirculation Play: Using Festivals

• During this event, you can use the Valar Coins you’ve collected to host festivals. Winning the grand prize at a festival rewards you with Sapphire Medals.
• These medals are used in a specific part of the main quest, allowing you to progress through that section of the event in reverse order compared to the usual quest progression:
  
   – 1. Train your heroes to collect Valar Coins.
   – 2. Use the coins to host festivals.
   – 3. Win Sapphire Medals from festival rewards.
   – 4. Spend the medals in the event shop.
   – 5. Earn Glory Points and Energy Crystals.
  
• That said, progress through this method is somewhat limited. For best results, it’s recommended that you first focus on strengthening your relics by advancing through the other main quests. Once your relics are sufficiently improved, you can return to this part of the event to finish it off more efficiently.

• If you’re collecting Soul Stones for specific heroes, the Exchange Booth is a good way to spend surplus currency after you’ve secured all essential buffs.
• It’s also useful when you’re just a few Soul Stones short of a summoning milestone or important upgrade.
• Since this event requires you to train new heroes to complete quests, the Exchange Booth can be a helpful early option—especially if you need Soul Stones to unlock those heroes.
• Because Soul Stone acquisition in this event is relatively predictable, it’s best to make gradual and strategic conversions instead of spending all your currency at once.

Mechanics and Grand Prize Efficiency

The drop rate for the Grand Prize has been adjusted once. While current survey data reflects an updated expected value, there is notable variance between individual accounts.

• Statistical Note: Due to this high variance, relying solely on average expected values may not always produce consistent results for every player.

Resource Acquisition

• Limited Skin Stones: These can be obtained at a set rate, although actual acquisition frequency may vary by account.
• Featured Soul Stones: In addition to the Grand Prize, Soul Stones for the featured character can also be obtained through this Altar.
• Event Synergy: If a concurrent event includes a Soul Stone collection quest, any Soul Stones obtained here will contribute toward its completion, allowing for parallel progression.

User Interface and Navigation

In addition to its primary function, this screen also serves as a central navigation hub.

• Integrated Access: The interface provides direct access to both the Event Shop and Relic Upgrade screens.
• Functional Utility: This screen is often used as a convenient way to move between related event features.

• 2 Energy Crystals = 1 Adventure Chest;
• 750 Valor Coins = 1 Adventure Chest;
• 1 relic = 1 Adventure Chest;
• 10 Battle Boost points = 1 Adventure Chest;
• 1 Sapphire Medallion = 15 Adventure Chests.

Note: Sapphire Medallions will not remain in your Inventory this time. Make sure to spend them before the event ends.
