  • November is going to be a wild ride in Dominion! You can check the calendar for the big picture, but here are a few surprises worth keeping in mind:
  • The Spooky Festival is already here and stays with us for a full week! More details here!
  • In the second half of the month, the spooky theme continues with a new unconventional Hero, arriving in a special 1-week Adventure.
  • The familiar Cyber-Con event is going to make a return at the end of November!
  • And a couple of little details: Jet will be a hero of November with a dedicated Brawls, and Sigurd will be a main star of Titan’s Brawls this month!

November’s Hero of the Month: Jet

[Hero Wars]Jet
  • Jet excels at reducing frontline healing and providing critical support.
  • Although introduced in 2016, this is his first time being selected as Hero of the Month in 2025.
  • While not typically considered a top-tier hero, he has seen some use in the current meta thanks to his ability to counter Galahad’s and Lyria’s Vampirism (blood-sucking) buff.

New Water Titan Skin Released

  • The Earth and Fire Titans have already received additional skins, and now the Water Titan joins them with a new one.
  • It is highly likely to be released alongside this month’s Titan event.
  • The boosted stats are not particularly significant, and it will likely remain pay-to-play content for the time being.

Health Pattern Implemented

  • Increases maximum Health by up to 13%.
  • Can be used to boost Corvus’s altar damage, and when combined with the Armor Pattern, it should allow for more defensive team compositions.
  • However, in this game, having high Health can sometimes be a disadvantage—Armor is generally more valuable. This Pattern seems to have limited versatility compared to other Patterns.

Official Community Manager FAQ

Titles are tailored to the content.

1. Too Few Skins Added to the Web Version Compared to Mobile

  • Q. Hero Wars Alliance gets new skins every month or even more often than that. 3 in a bunch. And we’re here with one skin from time to time, mostly paywalled for more than a year. Could it at least get to the starboard? It’s a fun part of this game, and I’m sure they can add something more to the roster.

EDIT: Just to make it clear I would like them to be obtainable for free or during events without spending real money as it was for last skins for Cornelius and Helios. It wasn’t paywalled back then when I started to play, that’s why I would prefer the old model when they were obtainable by skin stones. Even though I spend some money on this game (not much nowadays though) I’ve never bought any skin and I would never do that, but it’s a fun addition to the game, and making them obtainable for free again would be at least one thing that Nexters could do for the community. It’s still not easy to level them up, however I have around 15-20 heroes with maxed up all the skins so it’s another part of the game that’s not interesting for me anymore.
  • A. Yeah, I get you, skins are a fun part of the game, and I get why players want more options of obtaining them. The pace and release model can vary, but I’ll make sure to pass this note along to the team.

2. When Will Lyria’s Masquerade Skin Be Released?

  • Q. When will the Lyria skin be available for skinstones?
    A. Thank you for the clarifications. Not sure, and will discuss with the team. Will be back with answer once we get one.

3. When Will Cornelius’s Devil Skin Be Released?

  • Q. A few new Demonic Skins (Folio, Augustus and Fafnir) for 10 Coins.
Oh, and BUNCH of old Demonic Skins, but I would not recommend bying those
    – they are pretty overpriced in the Shop right now, I am not sure if that’s intended, but unlocking the old Skins with Skin Stones will be way more efficient for now

Does that mean the demonic cornelius skin will be available for skinstones after the event?
  • A. Thank you for the clarifications. Not sure, and will discuss with the team. Will be back with answer once we get one.

4. No Dedicated Map for the Spooky Festival

  • Q. Will there be any Spooky festival island map?
  • A. There will not be a separate Spooky island map, it will be combined with the November map and it will include Halloween specific items.

5. Poor Random Rewards on the Mysterious Island

  • Q. The random rewards from explorers moves are pure garbage… Better was when you know what you get…
  • A. Thanks for the feedback, I will pass it along as usual.

6. Fire Totem Attacks Are Delayed When Phyto Is Present

  • Q. CMs there’s a bug with the new titan Verdoc. His summon Phyto, the little hovering green guy, if he’s present at the time, the Fire totem starts from him instead of the front titan(usually the tank). Since Phyto is invulnerable to damage, this serves no purpose other than to mess up timings of Fire totem damage. Support responded with info on how the Fire totem works, basically displaying that they did not even consider what I’m talking about, perhaps you can take this to Nexters better than they can.
  • A. Hey! Thanks for reporting this. I checked with the team.

This isn’t a bug. Since Phyto counts as a separate enemy unit, and the Fire Totem always starts from the nearest enemy in its path. Because Phyto is invulnerable, the first ticks don’t deal damage to him and the vortex then continues to the rest of the team, dealing the same total number of hits to the other Titans as intended.

That said, you’re right that this can affect the timing of Fire Totem damage. The team’s aware of it now and will review if any tuning is needed.

    Thanks again for catching this!

7. Support Team’s Response on the Phyto Issue Was Disappointing

  • Q. “Hey!

Thanks for replying, trust me it’s very annoying and causes problems when there’s a buff and certain catalysts involved.

Can we also look at why Support’s reply was to link the basic FAQ of how Fire totem works which is totally fine and then to close the ticket, instead of what you’ve done which is to contact the devs and they’ve said that while it’s working as intended they’ll review it. Don’t you think Support should be doing that as well instead of a glib reply and closing the ticket? This has been a problem with Support for quite some time now, hence why you cop it all instead. They are a busted flush, a failed system, usually we only get a bot reply.
  • A. Internally both CM and Support teams looked into this together, they helped me go through all the details to make sure everything is working as intended. I get that you would prefer a more detailed reply, but there’s a lot of coordination happens behind the scenes, even if it doesn’t always show on the surface

8. Suggestions to Improve Guild Member Display

  • Q. I would like to see the members who are online at the top and also the date and time when they were last online.
  • A. Great suggestion, I’ll add it to the feedback for the devs.

9. Request to Add Quest Rewards for the Maestro Battle

  • Q. CM, i once before a couple of weeks suggest thing in starboard about do a new rewards in here for defeating maestro different levels like osh ones seeds rewards and things , plz pass it
  • A. Yes, I remember this, I passed it along initially. Keep in mind that not all suggestions are going to be implemented, but we want to hear from you, and will consider what we can change reward-wise.

10. Dedicated Anti-Cheat Staff Have Been Assigned

  • Q. > We take cheating very seriously and keep improving our detection tools. Please report any suspicious activity to our support so we can investigate it.

CMs  This is a very short message for a very delicate topic that got more stars than anything else recently. But lets dissect it:

    1. You say you take cheating very seriously – what does that mean? Are you actively using resources (devs, support staff etc.) there, i.e. is there a team that has this as their priorities?

    2. What detection tools are you talking about? How does it work? Has there been recent improvements? Are you actually detecting any cheaters? How many? What kind of cheating did they do?

    3. What happens to cheaters you detect? Have there been recent sanctions against cheaters you detected? How many were sanctioned?

    4. You ask us to report suspicious activity – how are we supposed to detect that? Asgard battles are hidden and all we see is damage scores for the top 50 weekly players. Are we supposed to report all 50 players because they are under suspicion of using 3rd party software? I mean i could do that tbh …

Unless there is necessary clarification on the 2 sentences you dropped yesterday, my take away is that Nexters are barely doing anything, because there is absolutely nothing happening for example regarding players being banned or script loopholes being closed. The 2nd sentence actually shows that you want to shift your responsibility to ~~maintaining~~ finally creating a fair game to the players. Thats pretty cheap tbh. I am looking forward to your reply.
  • A. I absolutely get where you’re coming from, cheating is not an easy topic, especially not to discuss details publicly.

While we can’t disclose the technical details or individual cases, we do have dedicated tools and people working on detecting and preventing cheating. When violations are confirmed, appropriate actions are taken, though we don’t make them public.

And yeah, when we ask to report suspicious activity, it’s not about reporting everyone in the rankings, but more about specific players/cases.

Note: Security, fraud prevention, and crime countermeasures are a constant game of cat and mouse between developers and malicious players. The more openly these measures are explained, the more potential hints we give to those attempting new fraudulent activities.

11. Valkyrie’s Favour Payment Bug: Charged in USD

  • Q. It has now been a month where Valkyries Favour has been overcharging anyone that has GBP as their main currency. When will this get fixed? This is incredibly scummy behaviour.
Display before payment still states £1.49
  • A. Sorry that I missed a follow up on this. I’ve chatted with the team, and here is what I was able to find out:
There’s a known issue where in some regions Valkyrie’s Favor price is still tied to USD instead of the selected currency. I’ve shared your report with the team so they can look into it. Really appreciate you pointing it out!

12. Wishlist Feature in the Soul Atrium

  • Q. It we be really cool is someone could test the Soul Atrium Wishlist.
Maybe have Nexters let a Streamer do it.
Read carefully because many people are confused: Yes, I know we’re not likely to get the guys we want.  This isn’t about me never/almost never getting what I want.  BUT…
But do we KNOW the list even works?  Nexters has been known for bugs.

Rather than assuming the WISH LIST actually works, wouldn’t it be cool to get some data to see if it really does?
if you’d like it actually work, or just get a confirmation that it does.

For all I (we?) know, it might be bugged so badly it DECREASES of chances of what we want?
Or does someone trust Nexters enough to be certain it works?

I could be wrong, but I strongly suspect no one has ever verified it work.  All the years.
I feel like a total idiot for previously assuming it works… even though it never gives results good enough to prove it.

Maybe give a trusted streamer a temporary account with a bazzilion Emeralds so they can test it.
It would make a good stream.   A trusted streamer so they don’t mess with anything else, and delete it when done.

Or maybe players could start testing ourselves – many share 100-pull info while alternating between the most common heroes.  (Theo, Galahad, etc…)
If it doesn’t work, no loss in not setting your favorites on the wishlist.   Guessing Thea, Aurora, and Galahad are the same drops… so many compare them.

CMs – Maybe do what you can to addresses.  At a minimum, can we get a confirmation that the dev’s have ever really tested it on the live server and not just the test server?
  • A. As far as we know, the wishlist works the way it should. These kinds of mechanics are usually verified only inside the dev environment. Bad luck streaks happen, but good drops will come your way!

13. No Evidence of “Stealth Nerfs” in Practice

  • Q. Nexter has zero credibility. New heroes are so powerful at launch, then get stealth-nerfed months later (just look at Augustus and Lyria). This new Titan will probably follow the same pattern.

They also change event rules whenever they feel like it—more tasks, fewer rewards, no announcements. When players notice? No compensation (remember the last AoC exchange rate?).

How to re-gain your credit? One suggestion:
Nexter should create a new poll channel on Discord where any changes related to rules (such as event rules, mission adjustments, reward exchange rates, hero parameters, etc.) must be put to a vote. Implementation should only occur if the proposal receives more than 50% support. This approach ensures fairness, democracy, and transparency.

If they do nothing in the future, so my advice: spend as little as possible, ideally nothing. Save your energy, time, and money. Treat it as entertainment, don’t become the game’s slave. Virtual goods vanish in the end—none of it is worth real money.

    All the best!
  • A. As far as I’m aware, stealth nerfing is not something we practice.

Player feedback is genuinely important to us, and it does influence our decisions, but at the same time, the game isn’t built through public voting. It’s not really how development works: it needs a clear creative and technical direction, we have a long-term vision and balance goals that guide the direction.

We always strive to keep a balance between community input and our long-term vision for how the game should grow.

14. Communication and Transparency in Hero Wars

  • Q. CM credibility and trust are hard to gain but easily lost. and its the thing you need most if you wanted to start working on making the game the best possible version of itself together with your player community here. which i believe would be a very valuable goal for a game like HW.

the only way i know how to reach trust is by giving transparency. within the last year you really improved your documentation a lot, and you are more or less regularly doing a monthly event plan. that’s been a good step. more of this please. a change log would also be greatly working into the same direction.

even more trust can be gained by things like this:
    – show that you take our concerns serious and tell what other concerns you took into account when taking a different not easy decision within an ambivalent environment where there is rarely the 1 thing to do which is beneficial for all players in all situations.
    – tell us reasons. you found a good tone in communication. thanks for this. but as long as what you pass to “the devs” is ignored (felt) and we dont know *why* our concerns are ignored your respectful tone alone cant generate a significant change to the whole atmosphere in the community.
    – talk about your intentions. why did you do change A and not change B.
    – if you have principles behind your decisions please talk about them, sell us why its important for you to handle the game like A and not like B.

things like this. it wont be easy. but the time invest will be worthful in the long run.
after all you probably want to be successful with your game not just for 1 more year but for decades.
i personally would like you to run the game for some more decades. and i believe most of your players agree.
  • A. Thank you for your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your perspective on communication and transparency, these are areas we actively work to improve.
While we can’t always share every part of every reasoning and decision that we make, we’ll do our best to keep improving in the areas where it’s possible.
