1. We Welcome Continued Player Feedback

  • Q. Ask for quality of life improvements.  “Will pass the message along.”  Ask for game mode improvements.  “Will pass the message along.” 

    Nexters maybe stop spending so much time on adding more scam deals to the game and actually improve the game!
  • A. I get why that feels repetitive, but it is how we escalate QoL and system-feedback internally. Not everything can be changed quickly, and some things require long-term planning, prioritisation, etc.

    There’s ongoing work behind the scenes, even if it’s not always visible, and your feedback helps, so keep it going and I will keep sharing it with the team.

2. Please Choose Your Words Carefully

  • Q. I have a serious question (or quite a few) to the new censorship policy. Where is the line between criticism and negativity? When the same error has been introduced into an event for the 17th time, how can you be constructive about the lack of a functioning quality assurance function at Nexters? Etc, etc, etc. When another bad decision is being made, after “constructive criticism” has given feedback that this is a bad decision several times before, what is the right way to be constructive in that situation?
  • A. Everything you’re asking about was already explained in the announcement. The difference isn’t about what you say but how they say it. Criticism (even strong criticism) is absolutely allowed when it’s expressed respectfully.

    What we’re preventing is hostility, sarcasm and personal attacks that create a toxic atmosphere.

3. Request to Change Live Stream Schedule

  • Q. If possible it would be good if the stream can be shifted  just 1-2 hours earlier. The current stream timing is always 1am/2am for people in Asia….
    not humane….. it ends at around 3am….
    i believe if made slightly earlier, people in Europe also can make it….
    this is called compromise….. Isn’t it better to host at a timing that is more human for all continents ? (e.g. 7am – 00am across all continents)
  • A. At the moment we don’t plan to shift stream schedule.
    Unfortunately, with a global audience across so many time zones, there simply isn’t a time slot that works well for everyone. Any change that makes it easier for one region makes it worse for another.

4. Too Many Offers to Display Properly

  • Q. 12 offerings are too many. will we get a 2nd column soon? 🤣
  • A. There’s never enough offers 😹

5. Recent Events Feel Less Rewarding

  • Q. last time they sent us 3 gifts at verdoc event now its about to end and only 1 gift !
  • A. Are you talking about gifts on our socials and community site? I believe those are the same with Asherona 🙂

6. Guild Entry Restriction Code

  • Q. Many of us have agreed that the Winterfest lockdown might be less harmful than the crazy ban-you-from-Guilds for _trying to_ switch guilds three time thing.

    But now that you’re doing the lockdown, is the “ban from joining a guild” code still there and in effect still?
    This could be really important as people “trying to find the right guild” before WF starts could trigger more bans than ever if it’s still live.
  • A. I can confirm that the regular restrictions are still in effect, and one of the reasons we communicated the Winterfest restrictions well in advance, so that players can plan accordingly and pick a guild and stay in it until the end of the event.

7. Cheat Tools Used During Winter Festival

  • Q. I received the following message in my in-game mail about Winterfest gifts: xxx
    I don’t know if it’s legal, I don’t like such actions…
  • A. Hello, no, this is not legal. Please do not share links like this here, and if you see this in-game, please report to our support team, they will will deal with the spam.

8. Massive Winter Cheat Report

  • Q. MASSIVE WINTER CHEAT REPORT: DAY 1

    1. I confirm the server 306 is probably the worst WEB server, full of artificial guilds filled with 29 bots and 1 developped profile = the one who profits from the cheat

    2. It should be easy to catch them, thanks to the guild lock. The support has no excuses this year now to not punish these cheaters before they can steal totems and other resources of fair users. And of course it happens on other servers.

    * I also strongly suggest to continue the Guild Lock 1 week more after the end of the Winter Festival, in order to not allow the cheaters to move to another server or to another guild. It will allow the staff to catch them all. You could also lock the change of Guild Names & User Names to make their task harder.

    3. Here is the situation after 23 hours = 15 rigged guilds on the same server. Of course this rigged Leadearboard will make impossible for honest players to win the first prizes.
  • A. Thanks everyone for the reports and messages.

    The measures we’ve put in place have significantly reduced the scale of gift abuse during Winterfest, though isolated cases can still occur.

    We’re aware of them, monitoring the situation closely, and will take action where needed.

9. Banned During Winter Festival, but Claims of Innocence

  • Q. Hello, I am writing to request clarification regarding a ban I received during the New Year event.
    I was banned despite the fact that I did not violate any game rules. All gift exchanges were done honestly with my guild members, and all emeralds used during the event were legally purchased. I did not use any exploits, third-party software, or prohibited methods.
    I kindly ask you to explain which specific rules were allegedly violated, or to reconsider and remove the ban if it was applied by mistake.

10. The Severe Bubble Duplication Bug in 2024

  • Q. I am still convinced that last year’s screw-up by  Nexters themselves did much more damage than all the efforts of all the abusers over all these years
  • A. I wasn’t here last year, so I don’t know all the details but I can confirm that the aim of the recent restrictions is for Winterfest to stay fair for the people who actually play by the rules.

11. VIP Benefits During Festival Sales

  • Q. we need to know , no info anywhere …………
  • A. Hello, great question, it’s 300 VIP points for the 2500 emerald offer, and 500 VIP points for the 5500 emerald offer.

12. Drop Rates of Winter Festival Gifts

  • Q. can you give us some data about the percentage of getting the items here ? , like the chests in the mysterious island ..
  • A. Unfortunately we can’t reveal the exact percentages for these rewards.

13. Concerns About Mixing Ascension and Titan Gifts

  • Q. Ascension Gift..why they had to change it from Asgard stuff to Titan stuff ? For me as I am a bigger player with all winterskins, the Pets and Titans as good as I want them. So, Ascension Gift with Asgard stuff was the only one I am interested in. So for me they ruined also this part of the game. The only good thing is that I can save my emeralds to another time, because I dont see a point to use them in winterfest.
  • A. Thanks for the feedback on the gifts. We wanted to make Ascension Gifts more relevant in light of the recent Titan releases and the increased demand for Titan-related resources. That said, we do see the feedback, and I’ll pass it along to the team.

14. Request to Avoid Overlapping Events

  • Q. Please stop holding two events at once. We have the Winterfest, and at the same time, Nova’s Brawls is starting.

15. The Game Has Become Unnecessarily Complex

  • Q. I’m a bit frustrated with the new, unnecessary complexity added to Winterfest – New Year’s Candies, Gingerbread Whatevers…
    I have a hypothesis.  The behavior of the developers lately makes me think that they regard this Hero Wars ecosystem as a declining market – in layman’s terms, a business enterprise that is on its way out, so they need to gouge it for as much money as they can. I’ve spent more money on this game than I care to admit.   If the developers kept things going as they were, say, 2 years ago, I’d be about maxxed out by now – my Titans were absolute power until they introduced this “fusion” garbage.  As for heroes, I have over 2/3 maxxed out as well.
    But then they ramp up “gambling aspects” to the game.  Yes, the war flag upgrades past standard red and Seer’s quest were always gambles, but these stupid “fusion” aspects to the Titan Totems is next level hogwash.   Surprise, surprise – my luck with these fusion aspects of the Totems has been rotten, because (let me don my tin foil hat here) the developers have put their thumbs on the ‘luck’ scale… “this dope has spent a lot of money in the past, here’s how we get more out of him”.
    Bottom line – I think they’ve hit the wall in attracting new players, so they’ve shifted gears to gouging existing players as much as they can.  I’m about done here folks.  The game is fun, and I hate to blackpill someone else who is having fun, but I think Nexters has turned the corner from “let’s try to make money by creating a fun game” to “let’s gouge these suckers as much as we can before they go away”.
  • A. I understand that for you it feels like the game has become more complicated than it needs to be. While I don’t share your perspective about the direction the game and the company are taking, I will pass the feedback along.

16. Request to Improve AoC Logs

  • Q. Suggestion: add the names of the village and opponent in the AoC log.

  • A. Thank you, this has been suggested before, and I’ll bring it up again!

17. Future Review of AoC Under Consideration

  • Q. You’ve ruined AoC terribly. AoC is boring, and waiting half a day to make a few moves is a complete waste of time.
  • A. We have seen all your AoC feedback and forwarded it to the development team, they will be considering changes to AoC in the future.

18. Handling Scores Exceeding the ToE Cap

  • Q. CM, that guy won TOE due to “visual bug”, I attach his titan power which is under 2,9mln its impossible to win with that lower power,some new scrypt or bug was found and used here,its clearly not “visual bug”,saying that you just offend players,we are really not idiots…
  • A. It’s been brought up to the dev team, like I said last week, they will be looking at a potential solution.

19. The Missing King in ToE: Bug and Intended Behavior

  • Q. Today I’m playing Tournament of Elements and… surprise: no Elemental Lords.
    This does NOT solve the ToE problems that players have been asking the developers to fix for months (or even years), but that’s not what I want to talk about.

    There hasn’t been a single post, a single advance warning, a single message, or any communication about this new feature. You say you’re making an effort to improve your communications… and this is the result?
    So I’d like to politely ask for a clear and transparent answer to this question: **Which of the following three?**
    A) The developers implemented this new feature without communicating it to the Community Managers, who therefore didn’t know about it and couldn’t announce it. This means the entire CM and Starboard system is useless, because the CMs know as much about this as the players.
    B) The developers communicated the new feature to the Community Managers, and the CMs decided not to announce it. This means that every time in the past CMs said “We’ll let you know as soon as there’s news on this topic,” they were deliberately lying.
    C) The developers communicated the news to the Community Managers, and the CMs accidentally forgot to announce it. This means the CMs are incompetent.
    Please, I think we deserve a response. Thanks.
  • A. Okay, so it seems we know where the Lords went. TL;DR: it’s not exactly a bug, but it also was not specifically planned, yet we might keep it like that for now (unless we will find some serious issues with that)

    Basically, our players’ Titan teams got stronger than the Elemental Lords, and in the Tournament final, opponents were always three teams with the highest power. And these three teams for years were the Elemental Lords. The Tournament of Elements is an old mode, and at the time, it was not even considered a possibility for players’ teams to be stronger than the Lords, but here we are, with players toppling the old Elemental regime!

     I know that it shows a bit less power for player Titan teams right now than 1.5m, but that’s some server magic that I won’t get too deep into. It seems like 1.43m power was the threshold to overpower the Elemental Lords.

    Hypothetically, we can lock the Elemental Lords to always be the “top dogs”, but we see that some players quite enjoy this fresh take on the final “bosses” of the Tournament, and it was admittedly getting a little bit too easy to defeat the Lords with all the new Titan-related power-ups — so we will leave things be for now and see how it goes. Maybe this will be a very happy accident, who knows!

    P.S. I do not have info on the obtainability of the Avatars and the Elemental Lord Flame frame at the moment, but we are aware of these questions!

20. Too Many Draws in CoW Are Causing Stagnation

  • Q. Nexter, this year you introduced several new heroes and titans, which is fun. But the game modes haven’t kept pace. In CoW, draw is increasingly the norm. We can try our hardest on defense (and even if we’re still managing to hold our own, for how long ?), but there are now so many counters and remaining attacks, that we’re reaching the beginning of a dead end. So, before the mode loses all its appeal (as it is already the case in GW), do you have any developments or improvements planned to revitalize it? I don’t pretend to know exactly what to do, but I feel like we really need it
  • A. I understand what you mean, new heroes and titans is only one side of the game, and keeping modes like CoW engaging is important. I can’t share any specific information on CoW but I’ll do my best to follow up on this.

21. What Happened With the Delayed Guild War Start

  • Q. I just finished attacking after seeing the guild war was fixed.
    But I think some guild members logged out thinking today’s guild war was canceled.
    Could you please give full points to all guilds on the servers affected by this incident today, or take some other measure?
  • A. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the issue with GW start, the team has resolved it and is working on a permanent fix.
    They ultimately decided against granting full points or other compensation, we understand that it was a very unpleasant situation but there was no potential fix that would satisfy all affected guilds and players and be fair to everyone at the same time. We hope you understand!

22. Request to Update the Guild War Shop

  • Q. Does anyone think that The Guild War STORE need to be updated? Long ago, the rewards for Guild War success were pretty good. They’re still decent, but the Guild War store hasn’t been updated in the FIVE YEARS I’ve been in the game- and doesn’t even rotate like the other stores do- so the rest of the game has gotten better by comparison and there are way more ways to get stuff. In the other stores, constant new Heroes mean you still need the same old equipment, so little loss in the other shops. The only update Guild War rewards got was when Clash of Worlds came out (and they updated those rewards a couple times to get them right) as a reward for being in Silver League, which isn’t nearly as big a deal as it was back in 2020 when I joined.

23. Should Every Item Have a Disposal Option?

  • Q. there really should be the opportunity to exchange everything for gold or emeralds. even if it was at a very bad exchange rate and low value.

24. Titan Summon Effects Are Distracting

  • Q. Can we delete this damn thing “30 soul” everytime opening 100? it’s so annoying

25. Reload the Browser Before Using Dominion Gifts

  • Q. Hi all, I just wanted to share my experience with support this week that has made me decide to quit the game.

    Recently I was farming the final item for Guus’ Orange +3. I obtained it, equipped and promoted to Orange +4. I then used a Legendary GoD to skip +4 and go to Red. Then I used my remaining energy to farm some red fragments and closed the game. Later, when I returnd, my Guus was on Orange +4 and not on Red.

    I filed a support ticket, to which they responded with the logs showing I used my GoD at Orange +3 after equipping the last item and never reached Red. I was sure this wasn’t the case, for 2 reasons: 1) I farmed red items from the equip screen immediately after promoting, and 2) the game shows a warning dialog if you try to use a GoD when not at the max level for that colour.

    After some back and forth with support, they eventually admitted that the game client can fall out of sync with the server.

    > Sometimes, players can face visual issues when they click buttons too fast, and their internet connection isn’t stable enough to update the server information in time. Usually, such issues are resolved by refreshing the game page.

    But they still refused to do anything about it.

    > I won’t be able to cancel the upgrade for the Legendary Gift of Dominion due to our policies

    This was a premium item that I had to spend $25 on an AoC ticket to obtain. It would cost nothing for the support team to give me the benefit of the doubt and replace it. Heck, even if I had made the mistake, fixing it would have cost nothing and I might be posting a really positive message about their customer service instead of a bad one.

    I’ve invested a lot of time and money into my account, but I can’t continue to play a game that treats its players like this. Best wishes to you all!
  • A. Hey, I’m really sorry to hear about this. I can imagine how upsetting that must’ve felt.

    Cases where the client and server fall out of sync are extremely rare, but they can happen, and I understand your frustration. At the same time, our support team has to follow strict refund/reversal policies. Rules are rules, and they have to apply them consistently across all cases.

    Thanks again for taking the time to write this, I’m sorry to hear that this situation has resulted in you quitting the game, and I genuinely wish your experience have been a positive one.

26. Hoping for More Discretion From the Support Team

    ofc, rules are rules, but there are also exceptions to the rules, which are even stated in the terms of service. His case totally fits these conditions, the item just vanished from his inventory and worked like a super expensive “raise rank” button that costs nothing to press. And it wasn’t even because of his mistake or inattention. Of course, it also states that refunds are made at the company’s discretion. I don’t understand the reason for such an aggressive policy of “no refunds unless legally enforced”.
    It’s a terrible user experience, and just a few years ago, this wasn’t the case. Support was helpful and rolled back random mistakes when the conditions were met. Now it’s just a soulless machine
  • A. I get where you’re coming from, our support team evaluates cases and makes a decision based on that. I get why it’s frustrating, but I stand with my initial answer about this.

27. When Will Augustus Soul Stones Be Unlocked?

  • Q. CMs – Are we getting close to having Jet and/or Augustus removed from the Soul Stone Chest restriction?
    I’m concerned that since Lara Croft is your first licensed hero, that the devs are thinking “We can’t put Lara in the Chest” and letting that distract them from the fact that Augustus could become unrestricted before Lara if that’s what they want to do.   I also feel sort of like maybe Jet was might have been intended to be special.   I’m hoping you could suggest they at least take the time to evaluate each of those restricted heroes _independantly_ of one another.   They could be made unrestricted not in the order of release.
  • A. Thanks for the question, I will be happy to clarify how it works.

    Heroes aren’t added on a fixed calendar rather it’s a rotation system. Whenever a new hero is released, the oldest hero in the Superprise category (except the permanent residents like Cleaver and Jet) moves down into the “Very Rare” category in the Atrium. At that moment, that same hero is added to the Soul Stone Chest. (Polaris is our only exception from that so far)

28. Limited Skins Planned to Be Unlocked Soon

  • Q. Can we please have them for skin stones after the current Cyber-con ends? I think, it’d be about time, please… ?
  • A. I have an update on this:
    Cybernetic skins will be unlocked soon ™, and potentially some other skins will be unlocked as well.
    You’ll have to wait to get the exact details for a bit, unfortunately.

29. Request to Revisit Reset Options for Glyphs / Skins / Artifacts

  • Q. Many players still struggle with irreversible early-game mistakes such as wrongly leveled glyphs, skins, or artifacts. Once resources are spent, there is no way to take anything back, even though many players would gladly use (or even pay for) a controlled reset option. This has been a long-standing frustration widely shared in the community.

    Developers mentioned two years ago that reset mechanics were discussed internally, but no plans were made. Two years later, the need is even greater. Even a limited system — resetting one glyph, one skin, or one hero’s artifacts (for example once per year or during a special event) — would already solve most issues without affecting the game’s economy.

    This request isn’t about exploiting progress; it’s about letting players correct honest mistakes and stay motivated long-term. We kindly ask Nexters to reconsider this topic, as it would be a meaningful and player-friendly improvement for the entire Hero Wars community.
  • A. I appreciate your detailed message, and will forward this to the team.

30. Request for Free Server Transfer Tickets for F2P Players

  • Q. Some guildmembers are F2P, so they can only switch servers once (the 1st free jump).  So, if a GM/General wants to organize a guild migration to another server, he has to leave maybe half of the guild behind.
    Many prefer to remain on their dead server, even if it bores them to death,  exactly for this specific reason: they do not want to break the guild by leaving F2P guildies behind.

    There is a very simple and natural solution to this: developers should give 1 free  “server jump portal” option per year to all players.
    This would greatly benefit developers too, because players would spend more in-game time if helped to get to a server of their liking.

31. Request to Merge Servers

  • Q. There is already way too many servers. They need to cut it down to around 200, maybe less.

32. Server Merges and Chat Translation Under Positive Consideration

  • Q. Hero Wars Alliance – our close but quite different sister game for the mobile platform – has
    – unified their gaming platform infrastructure (hope this would help overcoming problems of basic game mechanisms especially for cross-server events)
    – invented chat translations 🥳  and
    – server merges are starting 2025  🙏
    CMs – is anything like this planned to happen for our HWDE as well? 2026?
    we are hoping for these things being covered in a soon to see HWDE Roadmap of 2026. thank you.

  • A. A server merge is possible but I can’t give you any solid confirmation at this point. I can say that the team is looking into it (and other potential improvements like chat translations) closely.

33. Request to Update the Battle Training Mode

  • Q. Will we finally have the very long standing Quality of Life update on CoW and GW simulations?
    CoW simulator does not set the flag patterns and Fusions yet.
    And the same thing can be added to GW too.
  • A. This has been raised previously, but thanks for bringing this up again. I’ll mention it to the team once more, I do hope we’ll have some more QoL updates soon.

34. Preference for the Old Version of Mystery Island

  • Q. good ol days, we want this back
  • A. Both maps and rewards get reworked over time, but it’s obvious the classics are still loved. Thanks for calling it out, I’ll make sure the team sees this!

35. “Hand of God” Exists in Winter Pole

  • Q. This Winter Pole kind of events – given our server 254 has only 3 full guilds of 30/30, Silver League guilds have 2-20 members, Starting Bronze 2 we are talking about guilds with 1/30 members – i very much doubt the per server participants of 1,000 and above and believe in a game event with made up simulated participants.
    Would you please clarify how this made up event with simulated participants is calculated by your game servers, CMs?
    We are to pay gold, emeralds or even money for a chance for the rewards, so please tell us what to do in order to reach the event’s goal. Or that it’s unreachable for our server as it seems to me.

    and please clarify what counts into what and whats the gaps in between the “gifts” (we payed for). on such (blackbird’s) events we earlier never reached the final state for the purchase and emerald thing. only for the gold thing.
    today (after some hours) it seems like a bug has been fixed and now the emeralds and purchase thing progress faster.
    but all in all we have no idea *how this event is meant to be* and so we cant identify bugs, too.
  • A. We have some tools in place to help with the progress on servers with low activity, but they still do not guarantee success, so players participation and involvement is crucial.

36. Future Content Release Pace Will Reflect Player Feedback

  • Q. Tell them it is too soon for the next titan. Try one every quarter. Let people have fun reinventing combos for a few months. This keeps CoW interesting and players involved rather than just a plain money grab. If the goal is to introduce some other titan change after the 5th new titan is out then you will get what you did not want with even more spenders quitting. Let the new content settle for a bit. Throwing out new heroes and titans like crazy is pretty desperate for a company that has struggled to listen to the user base about gameplay changes and crank out content that is not just one-sided for extracting as much money as possible.
