Hero Guide
- Her name comes from an evil spirit mentioned in the Book of Isaiah. Known as the wife of Satan, she also symbolizes the women’s liberation movement.
- In Hero Wars, she is considered the first wife of the Archdemon. Originally designed as an advanced tank with a magical defense buff, she was redesigned as a mage who specializes in being the team’s rear guard.
- She serves as a magical DPS with above-average durability, making her particularly effective in prolonged battles.
Lilith’s Strengths and Team Strategy
- Most heroes with Magic Penetration as their first artifact are fragile and easily defeated by attacks from Dante or K’arkh. Lilith, however, is an exception, as she can withstand these attacks to some degree.
- She is difficult for K’arkh to defeat, and K’arkh has difficulty withstanding her magical attacks, making Lilith a soft counter to K’arkh.
- Lilith has a unique feature: each time she activates her first skill, she increases in size slightly.
- Combined with Ascension upgrades and Mara‘s Patron effect, the stun from her first skill can last up to 15 seconds, allowing her to form a control team without relying on Arachne.
- The stun from her first skill can be manually timed. With a 60% increase from Polaris‘ Aurora effect, the stun can last up to 24 seconds.
- Lilith’s normal attacks are both weak and slow, contributing almost no damage outside her skills. This trait makes her well-suited for control teams, as she doesn’t significantly charge the enemy’s Energy gauge.
- She is a rare DPS that can be positioned behind Dorian. While most magic team members tend to cluster in front of Dorian, Lilith can stay in the back, allowing for prolonged battles that take advantage of Dorian’s healing.
- Lilith’s high Health allows her to withstand Amira‘s third skill. In a double-DPS build, she can also counter Amira’s first skill more effectively, making her a strong choice against Amira.
- Lilith pairs well with Orion and Dorian, making her especially effective in double-DPS compositions.
- There is a strategy where Orion, patroned by Biscuit, nullifies Sebastian‘s debuff cut while Lilith, patroned by Mara, provides stun. This strategy requires careful Energy gauge control to avoid excessive early damage, which limits its practical application.
- When paired with Dorian, Lilith’s survivability against low-power opponents is greatly improved. Combined with her ability to disrupt stealth with stun, she often has an advantage against Heidi.
- If the opposing defensive team lacks proper debuff countermeasures, a team of Arachne, Nebula, and Lilith can easily overwhelm them.
- In a Jorgen tank build, DPS options are limited, and Lilith often stands out as a reliable choice.
- Although Lilith consumes her own Health when using skills, her position in the back minimizes the effect. In addition, her first skill boosts her Health, and with Oliver as her patron, any problems from Health consumption are usually offset.
Disadvantages of Lilith
- Lilith relies heavily on the Stun from her first skill. However, it requires Ascension Release as a prerequisite and has a slow activation. In addition, as a single-hit debuff, it can be ineffective if the opponent has debuff-cutting abilities, making results highly unpredictable.
- Khorus, who has a chance to nullify stuns, effectively counters Lilith. While her stuns are infrequent and long-lasting, her effectiveness is greatly reduced when Khorus locks her success rate at 25%. When the defending team uses Khorus to cut debuffs, Lilith often struggles to win.
- Most of Lilith’s skills deal magic damage, making Isaac another strong counter against her.
- Compared to other magic DPS heroes, her magic attack is slightly weaker. Her skill activation is slow, and the range of her area of effect attacks is narrow, often limited to the enemy front line. These factors make her less reliable as a solo DPS.
- While she performs well in long battles, she lacks skills to protect her allies and does not have enough durability to survive on her own. This makes it essential for her teammates to have a certain level of resilience, which increases the difficulty of team composition.
- For consistent victories, Lilith often depends on Oliver’s support or Dorian’s health buff. This reliance is particularly evident in CoW and Grand Arena, where team composition limitations are frequently encountered.
- Lilith’s self-damage lacks a strategic advantage. Unlike Cleaver, which benefits from self-damage mechanics, her skill doesn’t offer enough power to offset its disadvantage, making it more difficult to use.
- Despite having two Armor skins, her base Armor is relatively low compared to heroes like Satori. As a result, these skins often have minimal effect on her performance.
- The role of providing magic penetration buffs from the back is often better served by Polaris. While it’s possible to use both Polaris and Lilith on the same team, their roles tend to overlap, resulting in competition rather than synergy.
- Lilith has a controversial history. Players who developed her as a tank were disappointed when she was reworked into a DPS, leaving lingering resentment over her role change.
- Having already been reworked and released in Ascension, Lilith is not expected to receive further updates. Despite this, her strengths remain limited and she struggles to stand out.
- Her attack progression is slow. When faced with fast enemy attacks, she often fails to respond effectively and watches as her team is decimated.
- In summary, Lilith is not an exceptionally strong DPS. Many players feel that her tank role had more character and was more fun to play before the rework.
- Beginning in 2025, Lilith struggles against popular Khorus and fast-attack teams. She is poorly suited to the current meta, making it difficult for her to perform effectively.
