September’s Hero of the Month: Iris

For nearly two years, Iris was the dominant DPS hero, known for her incredible pure damage output.
However, recent shifts in the game’s meta have reduced her effectiveness, primarily due to the lack of armor penetration and the rise in popularity of her hard counter, Rufus. Heidi has now taken her place. It doesn’t matter if this is the reason or not, the beach skins have not been re-released!
However, changes in the game environment may bring her back into the spotlight in the future.

Iris

Two seasons running simultaneously

The Natural Season and the Silver Season run simultaneously.
The main reward for the Silver Season is Golden Threads.
The quest content is the same for both seasons, but the quest content in the Natural Season has been updated from the previous season.
Tickets are available for both the Gold and Silver, and players must decide whether to purchase them separately.
Some UI elements have been updated to reflect these changes.

Mystery Island to be held at the same time

A new Mystery Island will be held in conjunction with the new season.
Woods and Bridges will appear as gimmicks!

The visuals of the flags have been updated.
A new War Flag of Swift Warriors has been introduced.
In addition, another new flag and two new patterns are now available! These are not yet obtaining in the game.

1. Blackbeard’s Legacy Nerfed Too Much

Q. Here’s an emerald-worth analysis of the bucaneer’s stash of 2023 vs 2024. The flat cumulative emerald value of the rewards palette has been nerfed by 1/3. Nerfing something by 1/3 means that it previously gave 50% more resources than it now gives, and so 1/3 is a pretty large margin to nerf this by. This seems to follow the unfortunate trend Nexters’ management has been setting lately of increasing the costs and reducing the availability of the ingame resources… However, before coming to a conclusion it would be important to first multiply this year’s emerald value by what percentage of last years’ keys we can reasonably obtain. For example, if we can obtain 20% more keys this year then multiply the 5,292 number by 1.2. The resulting value can help determine if the stash grants more or less rewards on average.
A. As for all the comments regarding the content of the ‘Treasure Hunt’ adventure, we have passed all the feedback and criticism to the developers

2. What is the Silver Season?

Q. What’s “Silver season” by the way?
A. It shares the same mechanics as the regular Seasons. We will tell you more about it later, so stay tuned!

3. GM Gift Function Fix Release

Q. Thank you very much for finally fixing The GM’s Presents Dialog.
Before when you (accidently) clicked besides the (+), (-), [Send presents] or the tiny scrollbar (and you must scroll a lot!) then the dialog forgot all earlier entered values.
Now i can even exchange messages with a guildmate and still come back to the GM’s dialog with all the values.
A. Thank you for the kind words. I’ve passed them on to the developers, and they are very happy that this fix was well received. It means a lot to them.

4. When Will the Honor Bug Be Fixed?

Q. Hello CMs. It has been already a month and this has been not yet fixed. ⁠starboard⁠
Although it was supposedly shared with the “Prestige Team”, there has not been any fix, any comment or update related to this issue. ⁠starboard⁠

What I (and probably most of the player base) would really appreciate if there would be a document available (excel file, google sheet, whatever) for the CMs, developers & players with a list of open questions, issues and bugs raised by the community. Just a simple document with some fields like “Unique ID”, “Reported Date”, “Question/Issue/Bug”, “Link to comment on discord”, “Resolution/Fix”, “Resolved date”, “Comments from the CMs/developers”. It might even exist already internally, just not available to the community.

This way it would be much more transparent for the players that the concerns we as players have are actually acknowledged and really being taken care of (e.g. if we see that an issue was not even added, or added but no update for weeks, we know we have to raise it again, etc.), because right now I feel like a lot of things the community raises are just brushed under the rug with an acknowledgement from the CMs like “we will pass this on to the developers/designers/Prestige Team”, and then we never hear about that topic ever again.

If you have a better idea to be more transparent towards the community in regards to addressing older issues, please feel to share it. Thanks.
A. Development is a complex process where priorities can change over time due to various factors. That’s why we try not to give exact dates for when certain things will be done, to avoid adding even more uncertainty. When you share your suggestions here, we pass them all on to the developers. They analyze them and add them to the list for further research and implementation. As for a ‘list of open questions, issues, and bugs,’ I can say that the development team is not ready to commit to that at this stage

5. Asgard Reward Bug

Q. Hi Nexters. Two questions related to Asgard: –

1) Where are the rewards from the last Asgard week (the resources and seeds from killing the boss)? Normally I do not bother to manually collect these as I receive this automatically via Game Mail immediately after the new Asgard week starts. Now it is a day later and still nothing.

2) On a separate matter, there is a clear bug with the Asgard ticket where people without the ticket get more rewards than those with the ticket. Those with the ticket only get rewarded for every second Osh 160 kill. Whereas those without the ticket get rewarded for every Osh 160 kill. This has been confirmed by multiple guilds. Therefore anyone who is in a guild that kills Osh 160 more than once and buys this ticket is effectively Paying to Lose. Are you going to fix this bug and compensate those that bought the ticket for their losses? I doubt anyone will buy this a second time if you do not.
A. Hello!

Yes, there is currently an issue where some players did not receive their reward mails. This will be fixed, and the affected players will receive their due rewards

*2)Are you going to fix this bug and compensate those that bought the ticket for their losses?*
and yes, this is also known, and a fix is being worked on.

6. Asgard Update Includes Ranking Adjustments

Q. Individual and guild all-time top scores have not yet been deleted due to Asgard error values.

As for the issues with Asgard’s ratings, as far as I know, the developers are working on a fix, and the ratings will be corrected this week. The developers understand the seriousness of the situation and have no intention of leaving this chaos in the rating system.

7. Guild Server Transfer Specifications

Q. Hi CMs since it is impossible to ask this in the in-game support I hope you can give an answer. When a guild moves to another server, would it be possible to bring along the banner from clash of worlds? Would be nice if we could still use this
A. The only option to move your guild to another server is to create a new guild on that server. When you create a new guild, all progress starts again. Guild Banner Frames cannot be transferred as well

8. Expose Video on Cheat Tools

A. Yes, thank you. This hasn’t gone unnoticed. The developers are aware of the situation and will address it.

9. Cheat Report Ignored Without Action

Q. i wait an response of support…. Cheat exposed, no action support?!
A. Thank you for reaching out. This request will be reviewed by the support team. However, the decisions made by the support team are internal matters, and we do not have the right to publish personal data or correspondence related to support tickets. As I mentioned before, the developers are aware of this situation and will work on resolving it.

10. YouTube View Count Rewards

Q. Nexters games played dirty, I achieved 500,000 YouTube views in Feb 2023, they gave one year of valkyrie favors, said they wouldn’t give it permanently, needed me to contact them every year it was due to be renewed year by year. favors expired Feb 2024, I contacted to apply for a renewal, only gave me 180 days. Last Monday it expired and I contacted nexters, the Community manager doesn’t not respond me at all. Every weekday I send an email, nexters never reply.

The whole thing about posting tube videos to help promote the game for nexters has completely lost its payoff. nexters doesn’t honor their words at all.
